Marvel's Avengers: Endgame (3D Blu-ray + Blu-ray)

An incredibly difficult film to pull off, and they did!
With all the expectations and the huge cast of characters and the general difficulty of pulling that all together into a cohesive film, I think they did a pretty darn good job. It's equal parts nostalgic, funny, triumphant and goobery. I saw a lot of 1 star reviews and I read the first 20 of them, and without a single exception, they all made some kind of ANTI-SWJ (liberal ridiculousness) comment. They're all very silly and did not actually watch the movie. There is no insane all-inclusive liberal bias. It just includes everyone, and for a cast of 100 people, no women or minorities get ANY above average screen time. What a ridiculous complaint!!Spoilers ahead:There is a 30 second scene near the end, where many females team up in a Girl-Power moment that is pretty freaking cool in a movie that is otherwise 99% male superheros. Big deal. Holy moley, get a grip. If that bothers you, you have some bizarre chip on your shoulder. I will admit that Captain Marvel sort of shows up with ZERO explanation and seemingly infinite power, and since the one movie I have missed was the Captain Marvel one, I found it kind of off-putting and strange. But if I had missed the Dr. Strange or Ant-Man movies, their characters would have been equally perplexing.I thought the time-romp through the past movies was fun. I thought the opening section, letting the gravity of the situation sink in, was well done. I was never bored, but I enjoy movies, so a GOOD 3 hour movie is just plain better than a good 90 minute one. I was also pleasantly surprised that even thought the ending battle scenes were so huge in scale, that they still didn't seem to me like digital noise (like every minute of every transformer movie ever). They were clear, focused on individuals and were easy to watch and I'm REALLY picky about that. The actual deaths were both shocking and not-shocking.. I enjoyed the very end a lot.All in all, this was an incredibly difficult movie to make and to cater to every demand and to write a script and screenplay that managed to feature everyone without stalling out. I believe they did a good job and it was fun to watch.

Excellent movie in every way !! Bad reviewers just can't keep up with this story !
This was an excellent movie to end this arc and only those who haven't paid close attention to all the previous movies would hate it. Everything that was in this movie was absolutely needed for completion of stories or the start of new ones and the ridiculous reviewer who said captain America would never have been able to stay in the past at the end without 40 some years going by for the rest of us didn't pay attention to ANYTHING going on in this movie. Captain America delivered all of the stones back to exactly where they came from using many different times and lines and went back 70 years to before he was in the ice to be with the woman he loved. Just the fact that you said he went back 40 years showed you paid no attention... where did 40 years come from ? His girl was only that age that she is when he's dancing with her BEFORE he goes in the ice..70 YEARS AGO. So maybe it's people's inability to intellectually follow such a deep and complex movie that makes them rate it poorly... fort those who can keep up with the mental and intellectual parts of this movie it is one of the best ever made.. with some hilarious and some deeply sad parts thrown in to keep you on your toes. A perfect 5 star movie for a viewer who has seen every one in the collection... this IS one of the BEST.. except fort Brie Larson . Glad she didn't get much screen time.... can't stand the lady... so many other actors would have done that part so much better. On THAT we can all agree. Everyone else did an excellent job !! Bad reviewers need to watch the whole franchise again from the beginning and maybe take notes so you can keep up. That will help you understand this final great movie !!!

EXCELLENT, HEART-FELT FILM, IN SPITE OF GLARING FLAWS
I just have to get out of the way the one, big, enormous goof they made in this film. It's such a gigantic blunder, I'm shocked that someone on the writing staff didn't see this coming. But, oh, well. I guess you can't have everything. The goof, the giant blunder they made was to the end of the film, when Cap shows up in person as the old man. In the first place, this makes no sense. Old Cap would have been sitting there at least several minutes before young Cap disappeared in the time machine. Someone certainly would have noticed some old dude just sitting there with a big, round leather container at his feet. I mean, come on. Seriously? Two of those guys are trained soldiers, trained to spot any anomalies in their vicinity. Old Cap would NEVER have escaped their notice. So, what should the writers have done? Easy! The moment young Cap disappeared into the time machine, a FedEx driver should have walked up to Sam and delivered the big leather container with the shield inside and a letter. A LETTER, guys! A letter! Sam would then have read that letter, with Cap's voice-over, while at the same time, the camera would dissolve to young Cap dancing with Peggy. The dialogue would have been basically the same, with a few changes only. Now THAT would have worked. It would have made sense -- a hell of a lot more sense than the ending as it stands.Another alternative would have been to have Sam accompany Cap into the past. But then, after returning the stones, when it was time to return to the present, Cap would have explained in person to Sam why he was deciding to stay, with basically the same dialogue as it stands presently. Sam would have returned to the future/present, leaving Cap to have his dance with Peggy.Either of these two endings would have been miles better than the way they did it, which just has too many big-ass holes in it.Besides this major flaw in the script, this is a heart-wrenching, ultra-enjoyable film. Even with the stupid blunders, this film was worth my having purchased a copy, in order to view it many times over. And each time, it seems I enjoy it more. It isn't that I find new details to enjoy. The film really isn't that complex. But it's emotional design is so good, so intense, so overwhelming, that I can't help but enjoy multiple viewings. The comedy holds up; it always gets at the very least a good chuckle out of me -- every time. And the drama -- good god -- every damned time, it wrenches from me swells of emotions too powerful for me to admit in public. Oops -- guess I just did. Oh, well. No one's perfect.I've noticed some criticize the 3-hour length. This is nonsense. The film is so well constructed and executed that those 3 hours simply fly by in a "snap" (no pun intended). Were it not for that ridiculous, lame-ass ending, I'd have broken my own rule and given this film 5 stars. As it is, it certainly at the very least deserves 4, which is usually the maximum I give any good film.
