Pleased I didn't go with a Steelcase Leap
My company issued me a Steelcase Leap v2 for work and when I decided to build a new gaming rig, I needed the whole setup and liked the work chair enough to buy it... until I saw the price. That is a fine chair but no. Just no. I have a low back and a mid back HON chair that were purchases from Costco long, LONG ago and they have held up quite nicely. I almost didn't even look at HON's offerings up but I am glad I thought about what I was sitting on while agonizing about the Leap's cost. After perusing, I elected for this chair. I am too old school for mesh and I am happy to report that this chair leaves me wanting for not. I am pleased with the adjustments and their range. I do wish there was a little more granularity in the variable recline resistance and I do wish that I could lock the back up at a partial recline but all in all I am very pleased with this chair for the money spent. My box was shipped across the country via UPS and it wasn't particularly beat up. The chair is in perfect condition through and through. I think it is well worth the money paid.PS 08/30/2018: The chair has broken in nicely and is even more comfortable. I like the spring loaded arm rest height adjustment and am now annoyed by the work chair's lack there of. Look around, on Amazon's site for the best price. Same chair, different listing, price variance of up to $200 it seems and most of the expensive ones are under this listing.

Excellent chair
Excellent chair overall. Very solid feeling, and a clean, modern look. A couple of points:- the seat cushion is quite firm. I like this, but some people may not;- the recline function is also quite firm/stiff;- the "iron ore" seat color is far, far lighter than pictured. It is actually a very light grey, and I would not have chosen it if I had seen it in person;- even if you do not order the back adjustment option, you can adjust the back height just by sliding the back up along the metal support and it clicks in place as you go. It's not clear to me how to lower it again if you ever need to, but most people will need to raise it b/c it is shipped in the lowest position;Mine arrived on time, undamaged, with no scuff marks or issues at all. I just dropped the chair into the base, raised the back a little, and I was back to work. I just wish I had ordered the black instead of the iron ore color - the smallest coffee spill is going to look terrible.

Not for Short People
A fine chair but not for anyone under 5'5". Even when the seat is pushed all the way back, it still hits the lower leg of short people.

Great office chair
We have 12 similar to this in our conference room and we liked them enough to get more for daily office chairs. The mesh back is great for support and air flow. I prefer these chairs to the more expensive HM Aeron chairs we had been purchasing. The adjustable arms are great and the seat cushion is good (my legs don't fall asleep or hurt like the did with the Aeron chairs). It has all of the adjustments you would expect as well as a tilt lock so you don't feel like you are going to fall backwards out of your chair. One of the plastic parts that was essentially cosmetic broke in shipment but it was easy enough to glue in place that we did not bother to return the chair (packaging could be better). We will definitely purchase more of these in the future. We looked around and Amazon had a competitive price and you know they will make it right if there is ever an issue.

I do not recommend this chair.
This chair is actively uncomfortable. In spite of about a dozen levers to adjust I haven't found a configuration to keep it in. I wish I had decided I didn't like it before the return window closed but I kept hoping I would find the right configuration to make it work. The armrests jiggle no matter what I do.

Amazon said the delivery might be delayed (see pics) - looks like the truck carrying it was in an accident and the packaging took a serious beating. The chair actually seems ok or I would have returned. The back does seem a bit loose and maybe took some damage but you can't get access to the back adjust area. The chair arms needed some tightening and the chair height adjuster has a minor bend but works. Got a pretty great price on it so I'll just deal with it. Like the seat forward/back adjust and back-tilt/lock. The back up/down adjust is a bit loose (maybe from the damage) - there are about 4 ratchet points for different back height. Pull it to highest point to get it to drop back to the lowest setting. I work remotely from home frequently and with all of the adjustments I can get it into a very comfortable position. The chair replaces an Amazon 99$ desk chair that I could never get into a comfortable position.

A high value high end chair.
This is a very comfortable chair that really is commercial quality. It compares favorably with much more expensive Steelcase and Herman Miller chairs. It should fit a lot of people well, The back height adjusts; the seat slides for and aft and up and down and the arms adjust for both height and width. Also you can lock the seat angle. Both my wife and I find it comfortable even though she is ten inches shorter and about 100 pounds lighter. Assembly is super easy. Unlike the bargain office chairs that you see at Staples, all you do is insert the base into the chair. No tools are required. The only small issue I have is that the instructions could be better. However a few minutes of experimenting with the various handles and knobs under the seat should get you squared away.

Good as any, Better than many
Maybe I was one of the lucky ones. My chair arrived on time and undamaged. The color is more of a orange than a red. Easy to assemble. I work long hours, sometimes 12 hours sitting. So I needed a chair that will be comfortable for extended use. I got this because of the mesh back, and the warranty. I may upgrade the casters, but it swivels and rolls easily. My biggest complaint, no instruction paperwork. But like another reviewer said, just explore what all the levers and knobs do to adjust the chair. Mine has the synchro tilt and back angle adjustment. Which means, more stuff to adjust to find the right position. I would recommend better packaging for shipping purposes. But so far, I'm happy with purchase. Not cheap, but feels solid.
