Busy Bees 'N' More Amish Made Langstroth Bee 8 Frame Deep/Brood Box w/Frames and Foundations

Lumbar is good quality; Joints are tight and need simple woodworking mallet for a "gentle but firm" pre-fit. No instructions or hardware included. Recommend drilling guide holes and using flat head wood screws instead of nails for the sturdiest box. There was no splitting or splintering of wood. After a gentle sanding and tack cloth, a coat of anti-mildew primer paint went on very smoothly. Frames easy to assemble and the wax-coated Plasticel sturdy and simple to install BEFORE adding the bottom bar. (Plasticel was in box without wrapping and had sawdust and wood splinters stuck to it; I'm sure the bees can remove it, but please ship wrapped in recycled paper). Recommend using four 1/2" nails on your frames- not included.

Accidentally ordered an 8 frame. And we had to modify the corners for the dovetails to even fit together due to bad cuts. I was a little disappointed with this hive.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed. Product is useless. Bought several months ago in preparation for a split. Now, I need to let the bees fly away. My frustration is immeasurable right now. Built the boxes and had to nail it myself, nothing provided. Worst of all, it’s not to square. Bases cannot be used… complete waste of time and money. I may be able to use the frames in other hives… so pissed.

I like that these boxes came already waxed- They do fit together nice and tight! The frames still need to be nailed together to keep them secure!

Of all the hive boxes I have assembled, these were the hardest. The dovetail joints were out of alignment by as much as 1/8" and had to be shaved and I had to resort to a rubber mallet to get them together splitting one of the panels down the center. Once assembled there were significant gaps in some of the joints.
