WORXWG252E 20V Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer, 45cm Blade, 3.2M Reach, with Battery and Charger

This Hedger arrived well packaged and with clear instructions, use this in conjunction with an electric hedger as it's not designed for thicker branches.The pole extension works well, the unit is slightly unbalanced when at full height. The battery lasted a good hour before needing charging so for a 2.0a.h battery I was impressed, all in all this hedger is good value for money, comfortable grip handle.Just needed to be abit more powerful.

I started with a Works Landroid robot mower - which I love. Then of course the battery sharing system makes you think about what else they make. Every tool I have bought from them is excellent. Their designs are simple and very well balanced in the hand. The packaging is only cardboard - no polystyrene crap.This tool made it very easy for my son to deal with a monster out of control high hedge at the back of his new flat.

I bought this to replace a noisy 2 stroke machine. I didn’t expect it to have the same power and cutting capacity but to avoid annoying the neighbours I thought I’d try it. We have Inherited a 12ft high by 30ft long Mostly untamed Beech hedge. Having heavily pruned it earlier in the year I needed only to take new growth off. I did half with the 2 stroke before it died on me again and then I got this Worx pole hedge trimmer. Yes the gear box at the working end of the trimmer makes it a bit heavy when fully extended and using horizontally, but no heavier than any petrol version. One great feature is that it’s telescopic so you can get bit closer to you as well as and full stretch. It’s obviously much much quieter than a petrol machine, much to the delight of my neighbour no doubt, but also to me standing right next to it. The adjustable head works well and enabled me to reach over and trim the top far edge of the hedge which is probably about 5ft deep.I should mention that I also invested in the Worx 2x20v WG284E hedge trimmer for close up work. That enabled me to tackle some of the thicker stems as the only criticism I have of the pole trimmer is it’s 16mm cutting capacity but I guess that’s as much as a 20v system can handle. As for battery running time, I probably used it for a least 1hr on and of, maybe 20mins continuous use, and by the end I still had two out of three lights on the battery indicator, so no problem there and I have other batteries anyway for other Worx machines. Overall I’m very pleased with this machine. For occasional home use and for light to medium jobs I’d say it’s a great choice.

Can't fault this, decently well made for a decent price.Certainly usability could be improved with a slightly changed grip and the option of a harness rather than just a strap would be welcome. But, for the price, these would be asking a lot.The trimmer blades are sharp and a pleasure to use, battery life is not spectacular but more than enough for most people as you will get tired wielding something this long on a tall hedge well before the battery runs out.Got mine with the optional "WORX WA0307 Pole Saw Head Attachment for WG252E" chain saw. Scary to use if you've not used a chain saw before, double scary on the end of a long pole! But it works and has been useful for cutting back thicker branches than a trimmer would do.If you need something like this, for the price, you can't go wrong with these.

Really good long reach hedge trimmer with loads of different angle options. Made cutting our high pointed hedges really easy. I’m only 5’2 and managed fine. No more standing on stepladders. Cuts nicely good battery life. Would highly recommend

I was a landscape gardener for a long time and I have used many brands of petrol extended hedge cutters so this type of tool is not strange to me. The pole when extended can feel quite heavy when you are holding it at arms lengh but not as heavy as a petrol version. It cuts well and has a wonderful part trick. The hand turns 90 degrees so when you hold this up high and straight out to cut a hedge at head height then this makes it very comfortable and very easy to do and to be honest for that it is the best one I have used. If you have Worx Batteries then this is a great addition to your garden tool collection.

Arrived on time and easy to assemble. Gave a beech hedge a severe cut back with a chainsaw and then used this to shape it. I was worried about whether a battery trimmer would have enough power but it seemed to cope with most things - I would say probably 15mm is the max diameter it will cut. Used it for about 30 mins with no problem. Bonus is the that battery is compatible with my Works strimmer so got reserve power if needed.The aluminium pole gives a good extension and is strong enough to prevent any wobble. Only criticism is that the motor is at the blade end, rather than the handle end (I think this is standard for battery tools). This does create quite a lot of leverage and makes it quite heavy, especially if you are using it fully extended / for a long period or when you are stretching to reach. It may be that I need to play around with the shoulder strap to work out a better way of supporting the weight. That's the only thing that stopped it getting five stars.

Mi immaginavo fosse più potente, ma sono contento,Fa il suo lavoro e è davvero pratico per il mio giardino.
