it’s good for making your tofu drain out all its juices. i used to use a cast iron pan and balance that precariously on some tofu wrapped in a dish towel. that was a dangerous game, so my life was changed for the better when i got this press. dare i say that i can now make the crispiest of all tofus when i use this

I bought this tofu press because the one I had (a different brand) quit working. I'm actually glad that happened because this one is so much better. It presses the tofu way better than my other one did. All of the water is drained away from the tofu. This isn't like some presses that have holes at the top where you pour the water out. The lid also securely snaps shut on all 4 sides. It comes with directions for use but the directions don't include washing instructions. I had to come back to the Amazon listing and scour the information to find out if it is safe to use in the dishwasher. To save you that trouble, it is dishwasher safe and it washes up well. My only tiny complaint about this tofu press is the size. I wish it was just slightly bigger. It perfectly fits a block of tofu but there isn't much room to take the tofu out when you are ready to use it.

The tofu press works great! But need to make sure of size of tofu that will fit in it. The one I had was a little bit big that it fit in just right. When pressed down, need to be very careful so as not to break the tofu. I couldn’t find extra firm so I used form tofu. Other than that love the product! Will recommend.

I didn't know how much i was missing this in my life. It's a press and a storage container in one. I sometimes use it after pressing for marinating. Dishwasher safe too. Bonus points for the super cute "TOFUDEE" imprint it leaves on the tofu.

This tofu press is life-improving! I wish I had a photo of how I pressed tofu in the past: one cutting board, 2 cast iron skillets, a cuisinart dutch oven and 4 soaking dish towels that then needed washing. It's a wonder I ate tofu. This tofu press makes preparing firm or extra-firm tofu an easy process (I don't press silken). Just turn the handle every now and then until water stops dripping and you're ready for marinating or whatever. Easy clean-up afterwards. Well-designed & sturdy, even the box it comes in is aesthetically pleasing.
