Biggest one yet in my life
I had a little bluegill on and then a 14.7lb bass hit it. Don't know which he was after but it was the biggest bass I ever caught

Great for bass!!
I went fishing on Fathers days at a very small pond that was rumored to have some large bass in it. So I had just gotten an ultra light rod and reel as gift with a few lures, and one of the lures I got was this hula popper. I tried all the rest, not so much as a strike or follow, and then I thought ..there isn't no bass in here. So I decided just to try this hula popper, on my first cast, as soon as it hit the water the surface exploded!! A good size bass took it and made a hell of a run with it, on the ultra light it felt like I hooked a whale. I tried this lure for about another 30 minutes and I hooked and landed 3 more bass and lost 2, they jumped up and shook the hook loose. Cant say enough about this popper...great, just wish the hook size was a little smaller as I had crappie and sunfish chasing it as well, but the hook was just a little to big for them. Now its my all time favorite lure, ordering more in case I loose it in the duckweeds or lily pads.

10 Pounder Bass Killer
The Coach Dog color Hula Popper has been my favorite top water lure of choice for over 30 years. Father & I used it on secluded ponds on some private ranch lands Our best night around midnight was a ten pound largemouth bass. We would cast this lure up against a row of cat-tails & let it set for a minute or two, then give it a quick pop. It drove the bass crazy... many times they would attack hit jumping over two feet above the water's surface. The kind of stuff that makes your heart rate go off of the charts lol....especially in the dark of night. I miss those fun times fishing with my father....lost him Memorial Day of 2000.
