As with all gauges, I tested this one before I installed it. I used a heat gun to get the sensor hot. It was not reading at all on the gauge. I checked the temperature of the sensor with an infrared gun. It was not getting up to 572 degrees Fahrenheit, the minimum of 300 degrees celsius on the gauge. I closed the air damper on the gun to get hotter temps, then the gauge started reading as it should. So, be sure you are getting the sensor hot enough. I am pleased with the quality of this set up. I ordered two gauges, and had the same results with the other one, so you may see the same review for a different gauge.

Tested it with heat gun, worked, not working now
Tested it with a heat gun, and it moved the gauge, then I installed it, and it's not working. Tested the sensor with multimeter and it's working, but the gauge isnt moving at all except on power up.

the gauge is a little small but well lit.
It only goes to 1200degrees but I'm not guna run my diesel that hard. A better one would have cost double or triple

Requires light on
Requires internal light on to be readable. Will replace for something better. Also my oil pressure (same brand) was defective and did not work at all.

Why isn’t it moving is it reading it correctly
It’s not working I hiked it all up and it hasn’t left the number 3 and I am sure it’s hot and it’s not reading anything

failed after mild use...
needle started randomly jumping to the max, then it stopped doing that now it's flickering and turning off/on. just buy an american name brand one that actually works not this POS chinese garbage. you'll actually save money because you won't have to buy a new one every couple of months.
