Happy with it at first
I bought this product multiple times. Got purple, pink and teal. I bought it back in April of 2025. It is now June 2025. My daughter and I have been doing this temporary semi-permanent dye for Easter. It's our tradition if you will. I love the pink. I love the purple. They came out great and vibrant and they faded away. Great! As for the teal, it came out great but here I am in July and my daughter and I are both naturally blonde and the color will not go away. It is like this nasty green color for any blondes out there when you go swimming too much and the chlorine makes your hair turn that mildewy green kind of algae green. That's what it looks like. And today I highlighted my hair with blonde cuz I didn't want to bleach my hair but I highlighted it with bleach and the color still won't freaking come out. I am so not happy for warnings. The teal/ blue will not come out of your hair. It will just fade and stay there! I really do love this brand and I'm not going to stop using it, but that color is a no-go for me personally. Hope that helps. Anyone out there? Looking for a detailed description.

Might want to leave on longer to cover greys so it’s not so bright
So this was a hit. My daughter’s hair is lighter shade of dark brown and she’s been wanting to play with coloring it for a while but all the colors she wanted required a bleaching process. After reading, literally, all the reviews for this brand I decided to give it a try. She absolutely loves it and now wants me to go up higher with the color. I agreed to do the ends because if she hated it, her sister could just cut it off. I’m so glad she’s happy with it cuz she’s been bugging me for so freaking long lolWe used PoseidonI also bought the Purple AF and I turned my grey hair a bright purple(not complaining at all)I’m sure of i would have left it in longer it would have come out not so bright. I left both of ours on for an hour. Being that she has virgin hair, the color took phenomenally. I usually color mine darkest blue so it has blue undertones. Might go blue on top next time

CAITLYN IS GORGEOUS!
I used 3/4 of a tube on my just-touching-shoulder length hair. I did not bleach my pretty dark brown hair with silver speckled in. Under a microscope, my silver hairs are completely clear, so the dye does make it metallic indigo under bright white lights. But can we talk about how gorgeous Caitlyn is on natural dark hair?! It looks almost black with an indigo sheen. I LOVE it! Buying more to keep on hand since it seems like it's a limited edition color. Advice: Use gloves and petroleum!!!! It WILL stain your hands, face, ears, neck and white porcelain tub. It left specks on my black shirt. I would also suggest gloves for the first shampoo after the initial rinse out. The blue will eventually come out of the tub. Leave it to dry and then use scrubbing bubbles foaming bleach for 2 rounds (not back to back, wait a day or 2, and use on a dry tub). This trick has also helped with wrath, purple rain, green phantom and transylvania mixes.

Gorgeous color but have some reservations about the new packaging and formula
Love this color! Finally a cool-toned dark blue that won't fade green! I've been mixing a similar color myself but it took like 4 different shades. I still added about 3 drops of Transylvania and a decent squirt of Purple AF to make it a bit darker and more of an electric indigo shade, as I needed to cover my double-process bleached and toned overgrown roots, the faded patchy blurple from my previous mix, and some weird lavender spots on my ends where the toner from my last bleaching sessions took a little too strongly. It covered everything perfectly except for a mini band where I didn't want to overlap where I'd previously bleached toward the front of my head, as I'm a natural level 2 with super healthy compact cuticles and it requires multiple lifts just to get to a level 7/8. I waited 2 days after bleaching (and deep conditioning) to wash my hair and let it air dry before coloring and as usual with Arctic Fox my hair feels healthy and back to normal.I like the tube format but wish it came with a key to avoid product waste as the metal is thicker than even some of my medication tubes and won't flatten and push the product toward the opening on a countertop edge like some other metal tubes do. Sorceress and the other colors I've seen in the new packaging is a bit thinner in consistency than OG colors in the plastic bottles but I personally like the thinner formula as I have very thick hair and it helps make sure I can fully saturate every strand. I only hope at this point that the change to make it thinner doesn't alter the strength of the color and make it fade faster or stain my tub and towels. I wish they'd gone with a full 6oz tube, especially for the price, as opposed to 5.6oz, as I need 4oz to cover my short thick blunt bob (with full undercut - I have a ton of hair) and still need leftovers to add to conditioner. I also have some concerns about the colors possibly changing over time inside the metal tubes, especially once opened. The one downside of Sorceress is that the grey hairs I have in my undercut - which are actually white and I love them and can't wait till I'm 100% white - don't take the color but stand out even MORE and look even whiter/brighter against my near-black hair. This also means my colored conditioner (I do at least 50%-66% dye mixed into the conditioner or else it won't stick and looks pastel, especially if applying to damp hair) which might tint my roots a teeny bit when they grow in - I dunno if it will show up on level 2 hair at all but I doubt it. However it DOES mean it will brighten my white/grey roots so they're even more noticeable.I think that Sorceress would make a great toner if diluted for those of us with very dark hair lifting to a 7/8 to neutralize the yellow-orange tones whereas most traditional toners are either temporary like shampoos/conditioners or require hair to be a level 10 to work properly.

Even works when improperly used as if it was a coloring conditioner!
First of all this stuff smells fantastic!Secondly, I am someone who goes through an annual cycle of getting my hair lightened one time getting it professionally colored one time and then uses coloring conditioner for the remainder of the year. I bought this thinking it was a coloring conditioner and used it like one! Yep that's right in the shower, no gloves, & mixed it with my extreme pink overtone coloring conditioner.Thirdly, It didn't stain my shower or my hands and yet did exactly what I wanted it to!I want to keep my pink hair but it keeps fading to magenta with Overtone & Keracolor no matter how much pink I throw at it. The orange in this hair dye counteracted the purple hue of my magenta hair perfectly! And now my hair is exactly the color I want it to be! vibrant hot pink!
