Sturdy and easy to install
Works well, used for a customer's bathroom remodel on tub.

Higher quality replacement for 1599500.020
The strain kit is a perfect fit and replacement for the cheap plastic model 1599500.020. It's much higher quality and solid metal. And it's also cheaper than the garbage plastic one

Ya got no choice..
Gotta have it for the overflow on the soaker tub. Does the job, price here was good and they had the color I wanted.

Does the job, I guess. VERY LOUD.
This drain was required for the American Standard tub I bought (which was pretty big). My contractor said I really didn't need an extra-deep drain, but he could still use it. I can't remember if the top overfill drain faceplate came with this drain (it's not pictured) of if it came with other fixtures, but it came cracked and needed to be replaced (cosmetic, not functional). It drains well, in that it works, but I have NEVER had such a staggeringly loud drain in a tub before... super loud choking, gulping noises. Maybe it's my overall home plumbing or the drain, I have no idea, but it was almost alarming. I just closed the door to the bathroom and it's not annoying or anything, it just kind of took me by surprise. The "toe kick" drain took some getting used to, but it works. I haven't had some of the other complaints other reviewers are noting.So... it's a drain. It drains. Not particularly exciting, but... it's a drain.

Fit perfectly with good instructions!
Installed a new drop in tub which required different drain plumbing! I was a little apprehensive about it fitting but it fit like a glove! Thanks!

Heavy build, poor QC. But better than plastic
All brass construction, it feels like it will last a lifetimeSomeone else posted that it needed to be soldered where the tub flange is connected to horizontal run. Mine was leaking as well, I tried to tighten this junction and reseal, but ultimately will need to remove the fitting and solder this connection... BummerThat said, and being a "fixer" by nature, I don't mind making this right. If you are this deep into installing a tub, you probably have the skills to fix this, just solder before you install and save the frustration!

Great Product!...."deep" is an understatement
Wow, talk about deep! When they say deep soak, they sure mean deep soak. The overflow on this well made pop-up drain is located at the rim of the deep soak whirlpool tub we just installed. The depth is so deep that anybody can comfortably practice holding their breath for free diving or Houdini type magic tricks.Manufactured out of solid brass with modern chrome-plated accents, this Deep Soak Max Drain looks great and will endure for years to come.
