Incredible and timeless handbook for life
The bent and worn pages of my copy speak for themselves. I am so glad somebody suggested I read this book. It’s already given me tools to navigate difficult situations with my friends and family and has helped me know myself better. This will be a book I will often refer back to. Rachel is personable, witty, wise and compassionate. I could not recommend this book enough!

I call this the best friends book
I bought this book to help me understand myself better and learn how to be a better friend to my best friend. Her and I read it together and worked through sooo much stuff together, increasing our bond and self love.We ended up creating a small sister circle book club to go over this book with a couple of together friends. We all gleened so much from it. This is book is also like a reference guide... Ya know... Every time I go back to read over something I discover something that hits just a little different.I'm confident this book will continue to add value to my life for years to come! 🌺🥰

Always go to the funeral
This book was well written for those who want to know how to show up and support friends and acquaintances - and how you can politely but firmly stand up for yourself in friendships and groups. The examples she uses were sometimes goofy, sometimes serious, but actually gave me some great feelings and deeper thoughts about how I interact and support people, and how I can “show up” when I can’t physically be there.Definitely worth a read!

“The Art of Showing Up” will be my guidebook for years to come.
Rachel’s “The Art of Showing Up” is a handbook I’ll refer to for years to come. She writes inclusively and without judgement about how to show up for yourself and your people in ways both big and small. I’ve already put into practice several of the strategies she’s laid out, and my best friend on a phone call this weekend literally said, “Thank you, this conversation really turned my day around and it was the therapy I didn’t know I needed.” This book should be required reading for being a more conscious, compassionate, and direct human being.

Lol wat
I have not read the book in its entirety yet. But I need to copy and paste this from the introduction because I am stunned it got published:“ If you have a strong negative reaction to something, or know you or your BFF or coworker or whoever would hate a particular recommendation, that’s OK! If you can’t do something I’m suggesting—for whatever reason—that’s cool! Like, I don’t know your life!!! Feel free to tweak my suggestions to better fit your circumstances or to just ignore me entirely! It’s fine! Everything is gonna be fine!!!”I keep on forgetting that I’m reading a book and not a text from a slightly annoying acquaintance. What is happening.
