Great once tuned and broken in
This saw is fantastic. It has taken down quite a few of huge red oaks here on my property then we cut them all up into manageable pieces after. I did have problems with it running bad at first but all I needed was to tune it correctly(turn the screws with the provided screw driver). I tried myself and it wouldn't run smooth so a buddy did it and now it cranks fast and stays running even when you sit it town. Cuts down HUGE trees with ease. My father has been amazed at how big of a saw I got for the money. I'll definitely buy another if i ever need.

Great saw
Arrived 2 days early. Well packaged. Opened and I assembled it. No instructions, but it’s a chainsaw. Simple. Ran 3 tanks of fuel and bar oil through the first day. Runs and cuts great. But it now! It’s a Sthil, buts it blue with a cheap bar and chain on it, that still cuts great! A++++

Chain tensioner and more will fail
I've had this saw less than a year. Saw ran well at first, started on the 1st or 2nd pull. Chain tensioner failed on the 2nd adjustment. The meshing gears are a very soft metal, could not handle the strain of the 28" bar, replaced with genuine Stihl. Another con is the weight of the bar causes the saw to flop forward when sitting on the ground, power head is not balanced with the heavy bar. 8/25/23 Carburetor began flooding the saw repeatedly, gas flying out the muffler, won't run. All trouble shooting led to the cheap carb. Purchased new cheap Chinese carb, now fixed.BUT WHAT NEXT?!!

DON'T BUY! NOT WORTH IT - EVEN FREE.
Will not back warranty. Had problems with this saw from day one. Bad carb. when I received it. Took several weeks to get one. Ran it for a few minutes and it died, new plug solved that problem. Went to the woods cut 2 books of wood. Oil pump started pouring oil out of it. Installed new oil pump I got from manufacturer. Starter rope broke. Went to the woods again. Cut 12 blocks of wooded the motor developed an air leak and started racing without my fingure on the throttle. When I got home there was another good sized puddle of oil under it. Coming from the oil pump. Notified Holzfforma about problem. They ignored me to till the 4th email. There answer was it is out of warranty. Not true. I do not recommend this product, Holzfforma service and parts are junk and they will not back their warranty. This saw has not ran longer than 5 minutes at a time. It is JUNK! They agreed to fix this saw if I sent it to their MO. service center, but would not give me an address, next the told me to put a new oil pump in it that would solve all problems and if it worked they would pay for part of it. Since Aug. 20th they have ignored my emails. Totally a bad experience. Don't buy from them. You will get a piece of junk like I did. I have spent more time working on it in the few months I have had it than the 25 years I have had my Stihl 044 & 046. Took it to a local saw shop. They will not even look at it. One problem after another.

Chain tensioner worked once
Purchased the unit new. Assembled according to instructions, and every thing seemed to be going good. Did the required break in and made a few cuts that went very well. Needed to re-tension the chain and the screw was very hard to turn (yes I loosened the cover bolts). I didn't want to break anything (it was "Very" hard to turn) so I removed the chain and bar and the screw was still very hard to turn in the tension direction. This is not my first chainsaw, so I know how to use one and how to re-tension a chain.

Broke at half a cord
Ran great for the first half cord. Went to start and the flywheel key sheared off. This in turn, ruined the flywheel and the crankshaft. This was in the first week of owning the chainsaw which took about 4 months to get here. Talked with warranty and they wanted to send me a new key and flywheel. Then wanted to refund me $30 for my repair time. Eventually, I got them to take the saw back. Shipped it to New York. Waited 2 months finally got ahold of them again and they said the damage was too severe and they could not fix it. So they wanted to refund me 70% of what I paid for the saw. That did not include the 2 chains and bar I also bought. On top of that they would only refund me through PayPal goods and services so I lost another $15 through them. Wish I could give zero stars. If it’s too good to be true it probably is…… stick with your gut feeling and buy a true orange machine.
