Philips PD9000/37 9-Inch LCD Portable DVD Player -Silver/Black (Renewed)

I wanted a dvd player which was small and personal, this one it so nice. I enjoy watching my dvd’s on my personal player, I enjoy using it. It’s a great little machine! I’d definitely recommend this one!

This arrived in like new condition. This Philips is so much better than the Sylvania Portable LCD DVD Player. Unlike other players, the buttons aren't loose and flimsy. The menu screen is not a cheesy 90's throwback two-tone text screen as with it's competitors. The construction is plastic but strong, and solid. The switches, dials and buttons are well placed, responsive, and there are no loose parts. The picture and sound quality are superior to Sylvania's, and at nearly half the cost. The life of the battery is longer than 4 hours (up to 5 hours running time). I will never buy another Sylvania appliance, but I will look for another Philips when the time comes.

This is the second one that I have purchased. My son used the first one almost daily for 3 years. It was no longer reading disks. I bought this one as a replacement for him because the first one was great. The remote function is nice, especially when he was littler and couldn't function the DVD player by himself. I could use the remote in the front seat (of course had to point the remote at the dvd player, but since it was attached to my headrest it wasn't a problem)

I love everything about it as I listen to my years of CDs that I have purchased over the many year‼️I can not sleep without them 💤💤

This product is very convenient to use durable rechargeable and a great asset for playing DVDs away from home

This dvd is black/white, not black/silver. It's also certified refurbished, not BRAND NEW as advertised. However, the shipping took less than 5 days in which was great. You can actually watch 5 continuous hours of dvd entertainment on a single full charge.

It worked well for about 2 months then wouldn't read a disk. At first the seller, Direct Distributor, was great by replacing it (it had been less than 90 days). However, the replacement they sent did not work correctly. It would only work while plugged in. The battery would not charge. The volume "scale" was way off. Basically, the volume on the lowest setting was way too loud, uncomfortably loud for a quiet room, it was an 11 when it should have been a 0 or 1. Then the volume only got louder as it was turned up. I can't believe it would pass certification protocols/tests as refurbished. Then Direct Distributor stopped responding to my (polite) messages. Now I'm stuck with it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a link to leave seller feedback on this particular purchase. Maybe the link expired.

It is in really good condition, plays well, and has all the amenities we were looking for. We actually bought one as a gift for our grandchildren first, and heard it played very well, so we bought one for ourselves for camping.
