Keep your cassettes and add this to enjoy them longer
I have tons of cassette tapes that still sound great, and this lets me play them into my portable speakers when on the go. Some of the tapes are no longer in production and are are to find to stream. Retro? Absolutely... but excellent, nonetheless. Minimal cost for listening to great music!

Stars are relative to cost and category
Mine had a defunct or defective volume control Not a common problem I ASSUME.It's good. Punchy. But it says 'dare to compare' Panasonic sound? Okay. I did. Sony is way better. It's better then GE and Aiwa at the price (Aiwas cheap models. The top ones are amazing. Metal bodied wonders) but no way is it Sony. For reviews I'm price sensitive and category sensitive.I have a Fostex full range speaker a 4 star review. Sonically it's a fifty star compared to this. But. For Walkman under 50.00 (when-new prices) this is solid. Sony at five stars (usually. Some are duds) would be a three compared to top home decks. Which at five stars would be three themselves compared to top flight turntables or high end cd rigs.
