Works, if you can avoid eating your emotions...
I think the product - and really any products like this - are going to be hit or miss. A colleague of mine and I decided to order a couple bottles and try this out. We both worked together so we actually had similar schedules and ate at our company's cafeteria togetherFrom what I know, she didn't make any significant changes to her daily regime and neither did I. However, I seemed to be much more responsive to the extract and would notice more energy and what felt like slightly more fat burn - although nothing to shake a tambourine at. In general, she never reported feeling any of the effects or seeing any difference or feeling like it had any benefit at all. However, ironically, she can drink 15 cups of coffee and not get a buzz, while I can have two or three and be set for the entire day. So my belief would be that supplements or herbs like this can, in fact, work - but only against those that are sensitive or responsive to the active ingredient of the supplement.I liken it to those who have amazing will power and do really well under a Weight Watchers or Nutri-System program, as opposed to people like me, who secretly stuff down a Twinkie after I've just finished a light-salad when I was at lunch with the boys. (Don't judge - you don't know my life...)I give four stars because I like that they manufacture locally (in the US), their website is pretty transparent, and I haven't found anything that immediately came up in Google results for nutrigold that seemed alarming or concerning as of when I bought the product.Unfortunately - unless you are prescribed Adderall, there is no silver bullet supplement that you're going to be able to order off Amazon or hear about from Dr. Oz that will fix a simple fact: weight loss will require a combination of items. Well, that's not true, there is cocaine, but again - I don't think you can order that on Amazon, unless it's Amazon Columbia, maybe?I do like that I appear to be responsive to this extract so I believe using a good, pure form of it in combination with my weight loss efforts overall will be positive at the end of the day.

Misterious Manufacturer that doesn't want to be known!
Don't know where this product is manufactured, or which lab makes it, or where the raw material comes from.Need to know, I can't just put anything in my body, correct?I call them:-- Hi, do you manufacture your products?"No we don't"-- Who does it?"It depends on which product, they are manufactured by different companies"-- What about the NutriGold Pure Green Coffee Bean Extract that I just bought?"I can't tell you that".--Really?! Why not?"The manufacturer doesn't want us to disclosure this info".--Really?! Why is that? They should be proud of manufacturing a product for a supposedly amazing brand of supplements."I don't know why"...--OK, I'm retuning it and never buying another product from you again."I'm sorry."Amazon, as always, was great dealing with the refund. Didn't even want me to return the bottle.Went straight into the garbage can.

My Doctor told me he might try it.
I'm halfway through my second bottle. My purpose was not weight loss, but I lost 7 pounds. My HDLs (good cholesterol) went up from 66 to 92. That's what impressed my doctor. My diet was already good. I'm a vegetarian except that I eat fish. Don't eat fried foods, keep desserts reasonable (at most once a week if I go to a restaurant). So I don't see how one can lose weight and eat whatever they want. I also exercise. I do drink two glasses of wine a night and have biscotti. it seems biscotti isn't too sweet. The reason I wanted to try this product was as an experiment. My friend has diabetes and also her two daughters. She can't seem to take pills consistently, so I thought I'd try it, stick to the regimen and see if my blood sugar decreased at all (even though I don't have diabetes). Well, the experiment didn't work. My glucose level decreased from about 90 or so to 85, but I had to go on oral steroids for a week. Steroids can reduce your glucose levels, so there went the experiment. It wasn't a very good one anyway. But my friend was impressed with the weight loss, though I felt it was minimal. My weight when I started was considered normal for my age (73, weighed 134 and now 127 after extract). Maybe that's why I didn't lose more. Of course ideally I would weigh about 118-120. I doubt that will happen. But this product did deliver some weight loss. More important to me, it seems to help with fat metabolism as promised. Apparently if the transport of sugars in the intestine is regulated, fat will be burned instead of sugars. That's what the insert in the package says. And my HDLs did go up while my LDLs (bad cholesterol) did go down. So I'm a fan and will stay on this product for several more months, then go off it and see what happens. Good luck!

Not sure of this product's claim...
I personally, have not had much luck with this product in reducing my weight. I am not convinced that this product works and/or stands up to all its claims. I am especially dubious about "green coffee" for weight loss when I see all these other new products hitting the market that claim the same thing. One day, I saw Dr. Oz promote this as being a very positive and viably effective weight-loss tool. And Dr. Oz definitely has a lot of fans to add to his credibility on these issues. Then, only minutes later, I saw Dr. Oz promoting Raspberry extract or whatever, and the next day, it was something else. Really???? I thought, ALL THESE PRODUCTS cannot be panacea to weight reduction, as advertisers would suggest. But this Green Coffee product instructs you to drink a whole glass of water with your soft-gel at least one hour prior to your meal. I notice that at times I may eat less, but wonder if the WATER is the real hero here and not the Green Coffee product. I am skeptical at best, and wish I had seen some positive results to this product's claims.
