Instructions could be clearer, but works great.
It does just what I need it to, so no complaints about the product. Our dining room table is old and uneven, and the floor is a little off-level, so the table never stayed together without the leaf in place. I bought two of these Align-N-Locks, and after installing them the two halves of the table now stay together nice and flush, and I don't have to get grossed out thinking about crumbs and who knows what else getting trapped down the middle.I've had them installed for a little under a year, and they don't quite "lock" as tightly anymore as they did when I first installed them. In fact, they're pretty easy to toggle with even the lightest touch, as my two year old son demonstrates every time he gets bored after dinner, but they still hold the table together fine for me, so it's not really a big issue. My only real complaint, and it's a minor one, is about the instructions. They were a little difficult to understand, but in the end I was able to decode it and get them installed correctly. Part of the reason they were difficult to understand was because they were very minimal--the text was a little unclear, and there was only one unlabeled illustration included--but the other problem was that printed instructions weren't included, and had to be found online, and the details were just not easy to make out. I found it kind of annoying to have to find and download them myself, and to have had a physical copy to work with I'd have gladly just paid the extra 5 cents they probably saved by not printing them out and including them in the packet.

Sturdy and good
This works great on our table.

Not eligible for return
Package price is for 1 latch. Other Rockler latches on page advertised as a 6 pack for approximately the same price. Not interested in paying 9.50 for 1 latch but the item is not eligible for return or refund.

Fairly easy to install
Works as planned. Fairly easy to install. My only negative is that some of the screw heads were slightly smaller than others, and would slip through the mounting holes. Luckily, I had some washers that worked.

Doesn't work well underneath project.
Planned on using this under a table to secure two 'leafs' together and in alignment. The clasp is only a simple L shape, and comes off of the connecting clasp when used upside down (under the table). Would probably work fine in other applications, just not well in this case.

Perfect latch for securing expanding table tops
This is what you need to secure an expanding table top (with leaves) from underneath. They're strong enough to pull together even slightly warped table sections, so make sure any guide dowels on your edges are able to fit together when snugged up also. Set the non-moving half flush on one side then place the cam-lock on the other side second and test it until you're happy with the alignment and tightness. Since wood is "live" and templates aren't you will be glad you did it this way. You want your mounting screws to go in only once, since re-drilling and moving them even slightly will compromise the job.

Best aligner that I've ever used
I'm a woodworker and I make many tables. The extension tables can be troublesome without good aligners. These aligners not only align, but if installed correctly, will pull the pieces snugly together. Great aligners.

Poor quality
Product is poor quality. Metal is soft and the locking tab bends upward, then slips off the mating locking clip, when table is locked. I'm concerned this is not a permanent solution and I'll have to replace it with a better closure. Not up to the quality standards I expected from Rockler. Also, other buyers had commented there were mounting screws missing, I had the same experience.
