What are the ingredients? These are for a pet.

The only ingredient is currants. I don't know whether they're safe for pets. Ask your vet.

Why are they called "currants"? Are they red raisins or are they red currants?

These are raisens made from champagne grapes. Black currants are a different, and more expensive fruit. Kudos to Sun Maid for making that clear in their packaging and description. Dried black currants and difficult to find, expensive, and you are likely to end up with Zante raisens anyway.
