Take a chance and get them...
2017 Toyota corolla: Let's start off by saying I do not recommend this if you are a snowflake and you can't perform simple tasks such as changing a tire or making a sandwich. This product will take some fine tuning to get it right--but then again, I never take my racks off my cars because I have a surfing problem and I want the perfect fit. My last rack was a $400 Yakima---rip off!!!!!I refuse to pay for a name brand rack when they cost just as much as a new surfboard (--I would rather get a new board!)This rack is aaalllllmooooost as good as a name brand rack--but does not have the custom rubber pads --I used an old wetsuit and cut a few small pieces..(instead it has a semi-hard plastic pad--but if you don't surf, just sneak and cut off a few pieces of your girlfriend's yoga mat when she's not looking)I also used a vice to bend down the "feet" to better fit the contour of my car. Another thing I did was go to the hardware store and get a $5 can of rubber spray paint ( the kind that you spray tools with) and sprayed the ends of the clamps that come in contact with the edge of my roof in the door jamb. I bought some m8-1.25 hex nuts and lock washers to make the racks permanent. ( I didn't even bother using the plastic knobs that came with it--cuz I'm not a kook and I don't remove my racks)Lastly, here's a tip to kill the wind noise--I recommend covering the open strip on the bottom with something (another rubber strip, duct tape, whatever you have lying around), then applying a thin strip of 1/4 weather stripping to the underside==but the weather stripping must be about a centimeter high. This will kill the noise at high speeds. (it changes the wind pattern).Lastly--you usually have to adjust all racks to get them right, especially when you do things like drive thousands of miles chasing swells or skiing, etc. So few days after installation, go back and re-check them to make sure you have a tight fit. You have to do this with name brand racks too.For you old hippies that still need another visual--if you need something to compare it to for your minds eye= these racks remind me of the old surf racks that we could by for $30 at the local surf shops back in the 80's (that fit on just about any car), except now these have the feet and brackets for modern car doors without roof gutters. Good luck!

Terribly dissatisfied with Auxmart Universal Roof Rack.
I purchased this item for my 2015 Toyota Highlander. The product itself seems to be good quality and very durable. Before Installation I read the instructions multiple times. The instructions are very vague, poorly written and even missing a few steps. After installing I simply could not find a way to ensure that the cross bars would stay in place. The brackets (state that they are made for a Toyota) would slide left and right and I was even able to lift them completely off the vehicle with very little effort. My intention was to attach a roof top carrier to the cross bars, which i simply could not do as I feared that all items might come off my vehicle as I was traveling.I was able to contact the manufacturer via email in an attempt to either get more detailed instructions or to have someone walk me through the process. They were able to do neither. Instead, they suggested that I either use google or you tube to solve my issue.Lastly, the email conversation was "rough" to say the least. Cherry, the person that I was communicating with, never answered my questions and had a very poor grasp of the English language. In the end, the customer service of Auxmart, the company that sells/makes the product, was of no help at all. I am returning the product and will definitely not recommend that anyone purchase it.I am disappointed that amazon actually sells it.

Definitely read if you need real info.
So here is the deal for all of you that do not own many tools and do not want to spend a lot of money on a roof rack this one does very well.First - this is fits most cars and whatever the description says is mostly true add I have tested it on several cars. But the fit will not always be as sturdy as you would probably think it should be. There are many considerations to take into account. But having 3 different sets of door clamps makes it pretty adjustable. I have read on the comments of people having faulty parts like a bolt being stripped or bent. I had the tip of one bolt stripped so it wouldn't screw in. Thankfully I have a metal grinder and I cut off the tip and "PRESTO!" it's fixed. But I'm sure not everyone has as many tools as I do.Second- I have read concerns about the noise it makes when you have a load on it. It's called wind noise and no matter what roof rack you buy it will make noise unless you add a shield. Very easy to make if you are a do-it-yourself kinda person. Or you can buy one and attach it. Search for roof rack wind shield.Third - I have also read that they came off while driving. I have never had this issue and I have loaded the rack with something as light as a six foot ladder and up to 300 pounds of wood and been using it for about 7 months. Here are the reasons they may fail whole driving:a) bad installation (not tight enough, not in the right placement of roof, not even)b) overloading and/or load wasn't balanced on the rack which cause severe vibrations and is able to loosen up bolts screws etc. since this rack does not bolt to the roof. It's Physics.c) like I just said this rack DOES NOT bolt to the roof it is just tension held. This means if you do not care to pay attention to attaching your rack properly (you need to know a bit about them to be 100% sure) or strapping things on your rack correctly then your chances of something going wrong will increase.Fourth - once you put heavy stuff on your roof rack and strap it properly (tight) a few times you will definitely see dents on the roof where the clamps attach to the door. This is common as the roof wasn't built to handle weight like that.My recommendations are as follows:a) when you strap anything to them use ratchet straps and wrap through the inside of the car (at least one)and the only way for anything to fall is if the straps break (very, very difficult unless you use a knife). Side note if it's raining the water will come down through the straps into the car if you do this ⬆️b) if you don't know what you are doing don't buy this unless you are truly willing to learn and put the effort every time you use it.c) remember that this is a pretty cheap product. Most roof racks that come already on SUV's and station wagons are bolted through the roof and cost a pretty penny. Hence why they don't malfunction. So if you want this to be as secure as those you will have to put holes in your car and have it professionally done.Overall I love these cheap racks and if you know what you are doing they are great!
