Duravit2544090092 Toilet Bowl Wall Mounted Darling New

Product looks great! Installation instructions are vague to say the least. One feature I don't like is that this installs by screwing sleeves on to the ends of the all thread from the wall carrier. There is an indentation in the sleeves that must line up with bolts inserted through the arms inside the toilet casting. I am a pretty big guy, this means the toilet is suspended from the very ends of the all thread, approximately 5" away from the wall. There is some flex in the toilet (pulls away from the wall slightly) when full weight is applied. Had I realized this I would have purchased a unit that bolts directly to the wall.This did not come with a seat. You would think that the "Darling New" toilet would use the "Darling New" seat, right? Wrong! There is nothing in the product description that tells what seat fit this unit. I had to web search every place that sells these and FINALLY I found one that listed the compatible seats. (Stark 3 elongated) It would be very helpful if this information was given somewhere in the product description.The absolute best installation instructions are given in video form by Geberit. I used a Geberit wall carrier (also bought via Amazon) with this unitand it works fine. I also installed the acoustic foam wall liner, it was worth the money.

We had one in or former home and used Amazon to get one for the addition on our present home. Just know that:1. You must purchase the seat/cover separately. The one we suggest is the more costly soft close one.2. You must purchase the Duofix in-wall system, and the bathroom wall must be of 2X6, not 2X4 studs.3. You must also purchase the actuator pushbuttons & plate separately.4. Be certain to check when the commode arrives to ensure that the mounting hardware has been included in the box.If we had not had to take care of the above ourselves we'd have given a 5-star rating.

The toilet was very wobbly so my contractor had to uninstall and add some nuts to make it less wobbly. Although this make it more sturdy It still pulls away from the wall when pressure is applied. Looks beautiful but not very impressed.
