If between sizes, order the smaller size
*For reference, these photos show a size 9 (42) on my left foot, and the size 10 (43) on my right foot*. I can fit between anywhere between a 9-10, depending on the shoe, so I took the recommendation to buy a 10 first. But I would say these are slightly large and baggy all around my foot, even with the drawstring tied to make it fit better. I then ordered a size 9, and fit perfect! Nice & snug. They don't slip off the back of my ankles, and the elastic drawstring is able to be tied enough to hug my foot comfortably. I like how they have non skid padding on the soles & balls of the feet, and the material is soft & lightweight. These will be great for belly dance class where my feet won't get cold & dirty during the winter months. I chose the same shade each time, and I noticed the size 9 are slightly darker by about one shade in color, but I like them. I'll be returning the 10's. I would say definitely go with the smaller size if you're unsure.

Good alternative for a dancer on a budget
Not the best quality, but great for the price. I've been using them for a little over a week, 6 classes (ballet; warmup) so far and they've held up. I'd advise cutting/burning (only with adult supervision those under 18!) any sewing strays--I believe this is why mine haven't fallen apart yet. I'll post an update on durability soon.I also like that the elastic comes sewn in for you. No adjustments were needed. Packaging was on point as well. If you run through your ballet shoes fairly quickly, these are an inexpensive alternative to higher-end brands such as Bloch and Capezio. They're not leather, but so far they're working out just fine.

Perfect practice shoe.
I bought two pairs, one in black and one in tan. These are great practice shoes and are well made and purposed for indoor dancing. There is a little draw string at the base of the toes to tighten the slipper. Overall, they are comfortable and fit true to size. I am used to some dance shoes fitting a little tighter so I ordered a half-size up and they were a tiny bit too big. The draw string really helps fit them better. My only critique of the shoes is that I can occasionally feel the draw string tugging at the back of my ankle when I have them laced on the tighter side. Because they are flexible, the string casing is a little thin.

I bought these for a dance show, our costumes were nude in color. These didn't match but they worked fine and I ended up preferring these in rehearsals over my leather practice slippers. I highly recommend! OH! I did get a size 6 when I normally wear a women's size 8, just to give an idea of sizing. They were still slightly big but you can tighten the elastic and then they are perfect.

Slipper to get the mail or to dance!
I love these shoes!!! I can't wear ballet flats (the trendy shoe, not the actual ballet use type) because I have skinny ankles that make those types of shoes just fall right off! I wanted these for a SpiderGwen cosplay, but now I want to have 50 pairs so I could wear them regularly for a year! Super comfy! I do dance, but not ballet. Contemporary modern and a bit of hip hop, but these shoes are just so dance-fluid! They are not waterproof and SUCK on wet gravel, as I found out on my way to a party, but they are an amazing shoe to wear otherwise.

Great Practice Shoe
I was using dance socks before I acquired these dance shoes. I prefer using the shoes. I read other reviews and purchased a size up, size 12, and it fits perfectly. I also have a wide foot and I find them comfortable. I reiterate, these are "practice" shoes. They are not made for performance, or even long dance sessions (more than 90 minutes at a time). They are canvas, after all, not leather.

Great ballet slippers
Comfy. Flexible. I'm a massage therapist and I wear them when I massage.

Use them as slippers and yoga if you don't like doing the barefoot thing in classes
So comfy and you can get away wearing them in public. Already had half a dozen women where I got them. Not for wearing on Rocky terrain. Use them as slippers and yoga if you don't like doing the barefoot thing in classes.
