OFM 531 Mid Back Mesh Chair, Drafting Stool, with Lumbar Support, Gray

Right out of the box, I was very impressed with the construction, the feel, and how well this was going to look when completely put together. However, now that I can sit on it, It is really good. Not perfect though. They say it is a drafting chair. Because it can go up so high, sure, let's call it a drafting chair. But for me (6 ft tall) the chair part is so robust (I like this) and the foot bar is not big enough (don't like this) I really can't benefit from the foot bar. The foot ring should measure at least another inch or two out from center. Truly my only "gripe." Arms are cool how they can swivel up out of the way. Arms also go up and down a little too. A solid FOUR STARS.

I'm using this at my artist setup, quite comfortable.

I was excited and ready to sing this chair's praises, but I heard air hissing out while simply sitting at my desk. I thought I was imagining it. But, lo and behold, when I went to raise the seat it would not go up. Clearly, it was leaking the whole time. How can I justify buying keeping this if it won't satisfy it's primary purpose of raising and lowering? Very disappointed with the outcome.Edit as of 10/25: Have tried reaching out customer support via email and phone but have received no response to date.

Although it's designed as a drafting stool, it makes a great office chair (pic 01). I love the lumbar support with its curved & mesh back. It gives my back the rest & firmness it needs, when I'm sitting on it for hours on end. Unlike my previous office chair, this one is more curved and I don't need to lean too far back to rest my lower back. My other office chair also doesn't have the foot-rest or an adjustable arm-rest like this one does (see pic 02). I've never had an office chair that can be heightened as much as this one. My office desk is not as tall as a standard drafting table. So, I appreciate that this chair can be lowered to a comfortable degree for my desk. Quality construction. Assembly took awhile since my husband and I had to align the holes for the arm rests on the seat & back correctly before we could fit in the screws. I like that we only needed an Allen wrench (which it came with) to attach the screws.Undoubtedly recommended.

As an uh, larger gentleman, chair quality is important to me. I can go through about one chair a year of the lower quality ones. I would say this chair is solidly middle class-- it's neither the best chair I've owned (Herman Miller-- indestructible) nor the worst (anything at Staples).The adjustability is good; the materials and construction seem like they will last a while. I'm very happy.

Do not buy this product. I assembled this chair and the lever to raise the chair was not working. It was disappointing to pay $200 to spend 1 hour to assemble a chair and it not work. Had to disassemble the chair and return it - which also was hard since everything came packed so tightly. I would rather pay more to get quality products.

I got this chair to go with a new desk. It's way more comfortable than it looks! And, it supports my lower back perfectly, which none of my other chairs have done. The color is nice and blends with my room decor perfectly.1 star - awful! want my money back!2 stars - bad but not horrendous3 stars - decent/good4 stars - really good!5 stars - excellent! definitely recommend!

Terrible! The product arrived 4 days after it was scheduled to. When we opened the box it was missing the back and the seat. Also there was a cast iron kettle in the box.
