From now on, I plan to bag or re-bag all my comic books, whether silver, modern or current sizes, with these crystal clear mylar bags. This "standard" size bag, combined with a 7" board, more than adequately supports the entire book, with a good fit and an appreciable margin that extends beyond all sides, for the vast majority of the books in my collection. Some thicker books may be too tight in this bag, but thus far I've found it to be a okay for some thicker annuals or specials up to 64 pages.

I didn't realize that my 90s comics aren't the same size as comics made today so I accidentally bought these. So I thought, oh well, I can use them for newer comics. Later, after I got some newer comics, putting them in these bags convinced me: these are the best. Pair these bags with a fullback board (or thicker, but be sure it's buffered) and you've got yourself some archival storage!I should say though that these are overpriced on sites like this one and some auction site. Mylar was a limited commodity during the pandemic, but not anymore so it's time for the price to go back down a bit. It's a shame that the manufacturer has a steep minimum order, but I'd say to spring for that when you can, and teach the scalpers a lesson.

I have been using this brand for years to protect and present my most expensive comics. With good quality backing boards, your comics should be safe for many many years.
