Not bad but not great either.
I was looking for an alternative to more expensive brands like chomps and Paleo valley. I read the reviews and they were very positive. I ordered the variety pack and tried their plain beef variety first. It's not bad. But, not great either. The first thing I noticed was how fatty these were compared to chomps and Paleo valley. The texture was kind of mushy, not firm. All that wouldn't be bad if they weren't full of preservatives. If you are trying to eat clean, I'd pass on these. Unless you eat them sparingly. If you're looking to eat these daily, I'd strongly recommend against that. I'm not sure I'll finish the rest. These are fine but chomps and Paleo valley are worlds better. I wanted a cheaper alternative but you always get what you pay for. I'll stick to the more expensive options. Grass fed and finished. Fermented. No chemicals. That's the way to go.

Oh, the grease....
So, the flavor on these is....probably good. The texture is overshadowing, however, by a high amount of fat and grease. Can I taste the flavors? Yes--for a second before the fat comes into play. I appreciate the clarity of labeling and the gluten free aspect but they are very fatty. Probably GREAT if you are hiking and need that fat for energy, but for riding in the car, it leads to frequent rest stops.
