I bought the same brand brush here on Amazon year ago and first didn't like it, but then realized that I actually love it. Then I have misplaced it and couldn't find and as both - my husband and I - suffered without it, ordered a new one. When I first tried the new brush it felt rough and firmer than the old. After a few days I found my old and was able to compare them side by side. The new brush is a bit smaller, than old and definitely harder. I am sure it'll become softer after a year of use. I with the bristles would be a bit longer to massage my scalp, but it is still a very good brush.

I have long, fine hair. I try to wash it once a week or less to keep it healthy. I needed a brush that would take the oil from my scalp and roots and pull it to the ends of my hair which would allow me to stretch the time in between washes. This brush does a really good job and is an important part of my hair care routine. Very inexpensive for the quality. The only thing I would say that I would not use this as a detangling brush. I always make sure to use a wide tooth comb or a gentle hair brush to take out any knots before I run this brush to my hair.

If you are looking for a boar bristle brush that that you can feel the bristles on your scalp, this is for you. I like how boar bridles smooth my hair but they can’t penetrate my thick hair. I’ve always used paddle brushes to get through my hair. This hybrid brush is the best of both worlds. My hair seems less frizzy and static isn’t an issue. I didn’t want to leave a review until I used the brush for a few months to be sure. I love this brush for my hair when it’s dry. I don’t use it on wet hair, I use a wide tooth comb. I’ve recommended to my friends I am so happy with this product.

I have used some version of a paddle brush with the nylon/boar bristle combo for the last decade, but they have been harder and harder to find in store. I decided to purchase this one based on the positive reviews. It works reasonably well (though I can't really tell if there is a difference in how shiny my hair is), the price was very reasonable, but there is a strong rubber/plastic smell that has not gone away after 3 months of use. A bit off-putting...

This is a very nice brush. I was still using the same stiff, plastic bristle brush I have had since high school (41 now). It seemed "good enough", but one day, in a pinch, I used my girlfriend's brush and knew it was time for an upgrade. This feels great on the scalp and is far more efficient at getting my hair to stay in place and look nice even without any product. The best feature is the little metal take that comes with it to remove hair caught in the brush. It certainly comes in handy because she occasionally now uses my brush and comments on its high quality.

Brush seems sturdy. I have a beard brush that is all boat bristle and love it for my beard. So I decided to get a head brush also made of boar Bristle… I like the brush I just wish the plastic brush pieces were shorter. Other than that it seems like a quality brush.

I use this brush to detangle hair for myself and kids. It works great and I never see bristles fall off. I really like the hair "rake" that came with it to clean the brush out.Only issue was after first week of use I noticed it had some sharper prongs that were leaving scratches on my neck line. I looked the brush over and cut off the parts that were a bit sharp and now it works great.

Many of the boar's hair brushes on the market are very pricey--I wanted the same effect, but at a lower price point. This brush delivers--the bristles and boar's hair helps make my hair shine, and the plastic bristles are great at removing knots. Very pleased with the purchase. Also comes with an implement to help remove hair from the brush--great idea!
