Got this hearing aid for my father. He’s had hearing loss for quite a while now, but the expense and hassle associated with hearing aids kept him from doing anything about it. (The expense most of all.) It bothered me, because he seemed to miss a lot of what was being said in conversation. One on one he could get by, but conversation around the dinner table or in a car was always a chore.Basic setup was straightforward. Simply installing the battery and finding the earpiece to fit him. The amplifier portion has two controls—a button for the mode and a rocker control for the volume. I would’ve liked a bit more from the instructions on how those buttons work. For instance: the booklet states that the aid has four modes, and when to use them for what. What it doesn’t tell you (and we had to learn by experimentation) is how you know what mode you’re in. There’s no visual indication. Same goes for the volume control. Yes, there are different settings, but how do you know what the current setting is?Turns out that there are audio cues for both. For instance, if you’re wearing the aid, you can tell what mode you’re in by the number of times it beeps when you push the mode button. Two beeps means you’ve set it to mode two. (Removing the battery takes the device back to mode one.) The device beeps as you increase the volume too.Otherwise, the hearing aid seems to function well. When I tried it on, I could detect a faint high frequency hiss, but my father wasn’t bothered by that. And it does a great job of amplifying sounds for him. He was able to hear whispered conversations and when I talked to him from another room. For someone who has never used a hearing device before, there will doubtless be some adapting. For instance, hearing one’s voice as you speak is a little disconcerting. And my father is now hearing things—like how hard a ceiling fan is—that he’s never had to deal with before.But all in all, he’s enjoying the experience. If you have some in the family who says “what?” a lot, I recommend trying this device (and the price makes it easier to try). I think you’ll be glad you did.

I did not the wispy connection between the ear pod and the amplifier, that's is why it failed

This was purchased for my mother, because every time I called her, the TV was louder than her voice. I was skeptical of anything priced this low, but I got it, turned it on and gave it to her. It made a lot of difference. She is happy as a dead pig in the sunshine.When i call, I can hear her clearly over the tv. Deafness runs in our family, but she seems to be able to function with this device. Not every one will get her results, as some wait too long before attempting to find a solution to their problem. If someone can hear pretty well, but has problems understanding speech, this would be worth a try. It is NOT a $2000.00n device. Don't expect it to perform like one.

Having now purchased two of these, I can tell you they last about two months and then break. Because of Covid, my mother, who is 91, has been unable to get to the audiologist to replace her real hearing aids, so we went with these. Initially, the Blomed fit the bill, but as we have found out, they just don’t last. Attached picture is the latest one we purchased. I bought it in June 2020 and here at the end of August, the wire snapped. I contacted the seller who promptly told me to contact Amazon and ask for a replacement. I don’t know how that is possible since I’m well past the return window. My suggestion? If you need a hearing aid for a couple of months, this one should be fine. Just don’t expect it to last any longer.

got these on discount and my grandpa can finally hear well pretty well for the price before he wasn't able to pick up anything in a conversation now he's able to follow along in conversation without us yelling

I bought this for my 99 year old Dad. This device is perfect for him. He can hear us at the table now and participate. And today, I had to write a review because the thing went through my washing machine and it still works! I was bowled over. I put in a new battery and it was fine, even cleaner. My Dad had missed it just for the amount of time we'd lost it. I never would have believed that it would have made such a difference and taken a washing without breaking. Kudos to a well-made product that delivers the amplification.

This hearing aid works well but I was discouraged at how quickly I went through the battery ... many batteriesFor this price there are less expensive ones on the market that work just as wellThat is the reason I returned this item - too expensive, very inconvenient depend on changing your battery ( having with you always) and I like being able to use a phone charger to recharge and there are many on the market with that available

The media could not be loaded.  I got this hearing amplifier for my elder aunt, we had been having lots of trouble communicating with her, we were already like yelling at her and it felt horrible, so I got into a deep research after we could not find the way to make her better with the doctors, and I got to this great sound enhancer that happens to be FDA approved! oh my! our lives really changed for better!This is easy for the to use, and as she says it feels really comfy, you can barely see it, still she fixes her hair very nicely so we do not see it, it feels very nice when a female always works in looking nice at all ages, cheers to loving and caring about our elders :)
