Great portable option for your reptiles
Good quality and very portable. The clasp hasn't worn out over use. I recommend it as a good portable option if your reptiles have spaces outside the tank. There's nothing to put together here. You just screw in a bulb, plug it in and you're good to go.

It works really well, great heat/light system.
I’m not going to lie I was iffy to get this after reading some of the reviews. It showed up quick and it did not have dents in it! Very good price. It actually has a dail in it that will alter the amount of light you need- so you’re not constantly blinding your geckos! Very nice because I want to make sure I’m doing the best I can for these gecko girls. Came with a good easy set up and it’s not as much as a hassle. I was worried that it was going to stop working early on but as if now I’ve had this thing for almost two months and with constant use, it’s been holding up fine!

Dimming Capability is Awesome!
I love the fact that the reptile clamp lamps are finally coming out with the ability to dim the basking lights. When I was younger (I have had reptile pets for many years) I was always changing bulbs with the seasons of the day because they needed a different wattage in winter than they did in summer. When I got older I started plugging the lamps into dimmers and dimming lights for seasons that way. It worked really well but then I had an extra cord per cage and it was not as neat and tidy as I would have liked. Now that they have the dimmer built-in I will use these from now on because I achieve the same outcome and everything looks cleaner. I have 5 of them set up now and they are working perfectly. I saw some reviews that stated the dimmers went out quickly but that has not been my experience. I do know you need to watch what you are trying to dim...UVB lights, Mercury basking bulbs and ceramic heaters are usually not dimmable. Also I would not exceed the recommended wattage. With this in mind you should not have any trouble.

Low price and good qaulity!
The light is bright and strong and produces a lot of heat. I bought this lamp for only $4.00 which is a very good deal and fit my light perfectly. My first issue with this light is the the light stand was very confusing to put on and took me about 15 minutes to figure it out. My second issue is that it does not fit all lights, so be aware of what size light you order. Other than that, I love this light and I use it everyday for my pet snake. I highly recommend this lamp.

Very good light for the $$
GREAT! A really good light for the $$ and small enough to use two per tank (10 gal or larger). We use one for UVA and one for UVB. Two lights should be sufficient for up to a 40 gal tank, always use a good thermometer to verify that the temperature range with your chosen bulbs is sufficient for your habitat set up. Of the 8 of these we have, 6 work great, two older ones have faulty/broken dimmers and must be unplugged to turn off, but all function well.

Best bang for your buck
I got these a few months back since they were on sale. We have many types of animals and these are just handy to have laying around. We have had several sizes/brands of these over the years and know they usually don't hold up for long. And of course i haven't had these long enough to review these for that specifically but I will say these are worth it for the price and the fact they dim. We opened our first one for a single duckling that hatched. We'd usually use the ceramic heat bulbs for this but added light instead so it could bond with its reflection. Night rolled around so we dimmed the enclosure just enough the reflection was still visible. The temp remained the same as it did throughout the day with the light on completely compared to it barely on. This is an item I will be watching closely and will purchase the purchase limit when they're on sale again.!!

My pretty Lyanna is so warm
Finally! This was the key to getting the temp right. My ball python's tank just couldn't get the right temperature. I tried the regular lamps with a basking bulb after the heating pad didn't keep it warm enough, but ball pythons are not baskers so it made it too hot. Then I tried this lamp with a dimmer switch, in combination with a ceramic heat emitter (or as I call it, the heat circle), and now I've got a nice 90° on the warm side of her tank, consistently. I can dim it down to 75-80 during the night but not let it go so low she goes into brumation or something. And look how happy Lyanna Stark is. Cute little boop noodle.
