This is by far the best wine opener and MUCH easier to use than any other type. All you do is put it over the cork and keep twisting in the same direction until the cork comes out. It self-corrects when it is fully extended into the cork and gently lifts it out. No leverage or strength needed and no risk of tipping the bottle over. Also, it's very easy to remove the cork from the corkscrew in tact so you can re-cork the bottle. Just squeeze the sides against the cork to hold it in place as you twist the corkscrew back out. AMAZINGLY SIMPLE!

Corkscrew part feels a little flimsy and could break at any moment, plus item comes in 2 separate parts which makes you think it's already broken. But once you get the hang of it, it works brilliantly, wish I'd found it earlier.

Easy to use even with recent hand surgery.

I bought the LE CREUSET Corkscrew to replace one which had served me well for many years and as someone who has arthritis in my right hand had always found these the most practical and easiest to use. I did think it seemed less robust than my previous model when it arrived but assumed that bearing the LE CREUSET name it would be well made and up to the job, not so obviously. This has now broken after only being used a few times having only been bought in February. I would not consider buying another and cannot recommend this rather inadequate product.
