12 Pairs Mens 100% Cotton Black Non Elastic Top Socks

Finding 100% cotton thin black socks shouldn't be difficult. Hah! It's impossible. Target, Walmart, Shopko--they all have what look to be cotton (and some even say cotton), but they are blends. I ordered these, not expecting much.Pros--they are indeed 100% cotton. No elastic!--they fit large (I wear a size 10 women's shoe), but I can deal with that and I'd rather have large than small--they're a good length (higher than anklets, but not calf-size)--contrary to what I read, they didn't turn other things black. I have a front loader and used hot water, but they didn't run--they arrived from England much sooner than expectedCons--they fit large (see above). Not sure how to get around that. I think the smaller size would be too small--Some of the toe seams were uneven. I turned them inside out because I don't like the feel of the toe seam. Inside out they looked and felt fine--the tops might slip because of a lack of elastic. That's not really a con because they aren't supposed to have elastic.Overall I gave them four stars because they aren't completely perfect, but they're as perfect as I'm going to find. I'd prefer to give them 4.5 stars if that were possible. I'm going to buy 12 more.

I did have to do a little "surgery" to remove some of the extra fabric on the toe seams and they are more comfortable worn inside out because of the seams. But otherwise they are just what I was looking for. They don't bind at the ankles and are thin enough to wear in the summer. I wear a women's size 10 and the "UK 6-11" fit perfectly.

I appreciate being able to find and order all-cotton socks online, but these socks are not very good quality. As other reviewers have noted, they are quite thin. This is due more to the very loose weave then it is to the thickness of the thread. If the weave was tighter - i.e. more threads per inch - the socks would be more comfortable, durable, and most of all, they wouldn't so easily stretch out of shape and fall down! If anyone knows of a better quality all-cotton sock, please post the information here.

They are as advertised! They are thin and have only one strand of elastic, more like a weak rubber band.no more swollen ankles!! I think they are great. When these wear out I'll order some more. DO BE AWARE- THESE SUCKERS WILL TURN EVERYTHING IN YOUR WASHING MACHINE THE COLOR OF YOUR BRAND NEW SOCKS! So If you are in the habit of washing in the same machine stand by for a whole new look to your washables! yeah, I knew that - stuff happens!

The bled like crazy...so (pre)wash them first by hand...They are thin (cool), cottony (it says 100%) and comfy (non-elastic-top).Probably not the most elegant - as they wash out pretty soon, but oh well - at this level of comfort at THIS PRICE we can forgive them that... :o)I wear shoes size 9 (men's) and they are a little too large, but it is not a major issue. I also never use tumble drier, so I do not know if they get shrunk or so...

I can't use elastic ribbed socks, so this seems to work okay. I injured my leg with a lab table falling over on it years ago, so I can only where no-elastic socks.

These are the best all 100% cotton socks in terms of durability of all that I have tried so far. Not 5 stars because of some shrinkage after washing but still I plan to purchase only these in the future.

fits perfect i bought this kind of socks now for the 3 time ok there are not lasting forever but i get a year out of it and you must consider the price too
