Metal Earth Ferris Wheel 3D Metal Model Kit Fascinations

First of all, it is small and hard to make. Took me 2 hours to finish. However it is totally worth it. Loved it. Challenging, but the instruction is clear. Looks very nice.

These models are great. This isn't the best one if you're starting out, but it's great once you've done an easier one or two first.The Ferris wheel does not spin, but it's meant as a model that stands stationary, so I don't look at that as a problem. This was one of the more tedious ones to build (you build each of the 20 cars individually) but it also looks great when it's complete.

This product and all of the Metal Earth items are not toys. They are an intricate model that takes patience and skill to complete. They were not FUN to put together but challenging. The result s very satisfying and the models striking. Do not give this to a child or anyone who has a short attention span or gets frustrated easily. They are fragile before you start building, during the building process and after. The metal bends very easily and care must be taken to properly shape those pieces that require shaping. The right tools are essential. You will need fine needle nose pliers, tweezers, straight edges for bending, a shear cutter to remove the pieces from the metal sheet and a good magnifying lamp. The effort will be worth it.

This was a lot of fun to build, mainly because of the unique construction process and the miniature size. It's so cheap that you might as well give it a shot to see if you enjoy it. They would make fun gifts for dextrous kids. Note the ferris wheel does not turn, but the gondolas do swing back and forth a bit.

I build N scale and Z scale model items. I've built over 100 very tiny items. This is absolutely the hardest thing I have ever attempted. After 6 hours of repeated attempts to accomplish the first few steps, I sent this thing back. Their claim of a 14 year old building it. No way. It's a flat out lie. I'm an experienced model builder assembling VERY tiny items. This is by far, the worst experience I've had. I gave up. Pieces are required to be bent for assembly and when you do, they break. No extras. Have to glue, wait and hope it holds. You assemble the first two pieces. They won't stay in place to assemble the next step. Hours of attempting to do so. I would Highly recommend you stay away from this thing. The claim that it is easy (no glue - snap together - 14 year old built it... etc.) is all a flat out lie.

Very easy to assemble if you are using small needle nose pliers and the finished product looks fantastic! Be careful not to bend the metal back and forth more than 1 or 2 times when connecting pieces or you'll risk breaking the metal. Unfortunately this happened to the piece that connects one of the cabs to the Ferris wheel, but luckily they provided a few extra ones in the kit so it was no big deal. Highly recommend for anyone looking to entertain themselves for a few hours!

pieces that arent supposed to bend bend too easily. cant bend the pieces that are supposed to bend without bending the ones that arent. may purchase another to see if i have better luck a second time

When i first seen the sheets I didn't think it was going to take very long to put together, but with all the small pieces it was a little challenging. I would have to say that this is a great model for anyone who likes a challenge, and who likes to put models together. It does have very small pieces, so whomever puts this together needs to have a work space that will not be bothered so none of the pieces get lost.
