S.O.S. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Food Bar - 3 Day/72 Hour Package with 5 Year Shelf Life W/water and Millenium bars 1 Pack(tips)

We bought these in preparation for the hurricane a few weeks ago. We weren't sure we would have electricity to cook with so we wanted some food that was ready instantly but also filling. Luckily the storm wasn't as bad as predicted so we didn't need them. We did want to try them, though, so my husband opened up one of the bars and split it up so he and the kids could all try some. They all seemed to enjoy it. Unlike a lot of foods, the kids ate the whole piece. Not only will these bars help us feel full and keep our energy up but they also are a nice morale boost because they taste so good.This set actually comes with 4 food ration packs, 4 energy bars, and 8 purified water packs. We had tried the food rations before when we got them by themselves so we knew those were tasty. The rations have 3600 calories each and are packaged in waterproof bags. They have a five year shelf life and can also withstand heat and cold during storage. These rations are pretty tasty as well, sort of sweet and not too grainy or dry.The water is a very important part of this package. Without water all this food isn't going to do any good! The water is packaged in individual 4oz packages. When drinking it I did not notice an "off" taste like some packaged water has. This just tasted like water.This is a great set and we will probably get more so we are well prepared in an emergency. We have previously purchased just the rations but the set seems more practical.*I paid full price for this item. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.

Received 3 ration packs and the few pages of paper "booklet". Missing a ration pack, water packets, energy bars.

I have to say that I tried one of the food bars and I was PLEASANTLY surprised of how good they taste. I would buy these again anytime. I thought they would taste like cardboard but it was the contrary. Loved them and so did my family

Excellent long term emergency ration kit. One of the best, small space efficient, durable packaging, and better than alternatives (except freeze dried meals).

All the bars are coconut based so they are sweet. It might be a problem it you have a nut Allergy. Its cheaper to do this than to try to buy a ready made kit.

Great purchase. Everything came in perfect condition, all tightly vacuum sealed. The best part is the manufactured date is 9-14! You're getting the full 5 year shelf life! It even included a small pamphlet with tips on survival during an emergency! I will be purchasing this again.
