Exudes Quality, Great Performance, Very Quiet, Over-The-Top Presentation Box
The foam-lined presentation box this comes in is ridiculous. I'd rather Noctua spent less on the packaging and charged proportionally less for this cooler; but to be honest the quality of the cooler itself makes up for the entire purchase price. This thing is gorgeous. It has a fantastic finish and satisfying weight. The fan is beautifully smooth and noise-free. I haven't used the included 'low-noise' adapter yet, because at standard speeds this thing is very quiet already.I'm using an older I5-6500 with this and it has no trouble keeping it cool on an ITX board with no other active cooling. It stays within the 'safe zone' for component clearance so does not interfere with other parts, and (measuring from the top side of the motherboard PCB) sits approximately 42mm tall when fitted.Fitting was reasonably easy; though would have been easier if the mounting hardware keyed the cooler to the correct position on the motherboard, so it didn't slide around when you flip it over to fit the thumbscrews.Definitely recommended for compact ITX setups.

Silent days and nights with cool processing
Looks beautiful, fits perfectly in an FD Node 202 case and (if not pressing an ear up against the case) is inaudible. It's has the added bonus of coming with their own thermal paste and so far temperatures on my i5-9400F CPU have been very much under control. It comes well presented in it's box and was very easy to fit with 4 thumb screws which include rubber washers on them. As you can see from the photo is fits perfectly on my ITX motherboard without interfering with RAM and other heatsinks. Great product and definitely a massive improvement over the stock heatsink/fan.

The goat of low profile
Almost silent and cools amazingly for the size.

Good product. Fan died after 2 years of use.
Update December 15th - 4 stars nowI contacted Noctua and they rapidly sent a replacement. It's now working perfectly. Thank you Noctua!I'm updating my review to 4 stars because my case could have been a very exceptional case, but in any case their support/RMA is awesome.===================Original review (1 star):The product is good quality and is almost dead silent on idle.Unfortunately the fan stopped working properly after 2 years. It doesn't start spinning unless I help it and then it spins up to 900PWM, which makes my CPU run between 75C (idle) and 95C (heavy use) WITH MY CASE OPEN and a room temperature of just 19C.I'm still waiting on NOCTUA to get back to my on my warranty, in the meantime I HOPE THIS ISSUE DOES NOT DAMAGE MY CPU OR DDR MEMORY!That's why I'm rating this so low. It's supposed to last at least 5 years.

Great for older less power hungry processors but a i5 10600k it can't keep up
Worked well with a low power cpu I had it with a i3 10100 and it kept it cool but when I upgraded to a i5 10500k it at stock speeds it would hit 90°c + in seconds while doing a cinebench test. Ended up selling it on ebay a week later and moving to a AIO

Great compact cooler for a mini itx build
Great compact cooler for a mini itx build. I paired this up with a aorus z390 mni itx motherboard, i5 9600k cpu with corsair lpx ram. No clearance issues. Fit perfect to go in my Dan A4 Case. Temps similar to my dark rock 3. Overall fantastic quiet cooler. And even better sleek looking in the black version! A++++

Quality product, keeping i9900 CPU cool in a small form factor box
Using NH-L9i with a i9900 (65W CPU) in an AsRock Deskmini 310 box, which has a volume under 2L. I tested the temperature with a Linux command line utility named 'stress' and under sustained load, CPU remained below 70°C. Other than that NH-L9i is very silent and keeps the CPU at around 30°C~40°C during the day. I am using the machine as a workstation for programming tasks.

The Specs are a lie. This is not 37mm
After discussion with Noctua directly, they have confirmed this listing is invalid. The height as indicated on this page is false advertising. Do not buy if you have a 1u case.
