the lotion was liquid and watery when I tried to use it

Love it, best tanning lotion I ever used.

Some good, some bad. I bought mine at a discount store and the special "glycolic" lotion in the outer ring smelled literally rancid. And it burned to apply it to freshly shaved legs (I have had red bumps result in applying too quickly after shaving, but not stinging burning I had to wash off!). However, I was able to salvage the bottle but pressing slightly to remove the outside ring of the bottle rancid lotion. This left the tanning lotion in the middle part of the bottle. This is a nice brown color. Mixed with some sort of moisturer and applied to light skin once a week, I got a nice light, golden spring season appropriate tan that started to turn brown summer tan by the fourth week. The tanner itself smelled slightly maple. I got about 10 half body applications out of it.
