These are very cute, fun toys. They are painted, so that paint will inevitably wear off eventually. The horrible stink that is on them when they first arrive comes from the transparent, disposable plastic bucket that they come in. A little bit of soap and water washes that smell away, never to return. Unless, I suppose, you keep that bucket...

These are absolutely addorable and a lot bigger than I expected. My baby, 2 year old and 4 year old love playing with them and the different textures are great.

I purchased these for my son when he was around 3 months old. Now at 5 months they are his favorite toys. He loves the different textures, shapes, and colors. His favorite by far is the hedgehog, we've taken the hedgehog everywhere (including on an airplane trip, which I bet looked interesting on the x-ray scanner). The inchworm is also a big hit and now that he's teething, he loves all the knobby bits. The toys are BPA free, but they do have a little bit of a funky, plastic odor when you first open the container. I let them air out for a day before he played with them. They are easy to clean, but they do have holes in the bottom, so keep that in mind if you plan to use them for bath toys or plan to wash them in the sink. Overall, we love these toys!

Don't buy!!! These toys smell awful - strong chemical smell through the package. Stuck with them as I'm from another country and can't return, but definitely not giving these to my baby!I bought a yoga mat once that had the same chemical smell, which I couldn't get rid off by washing and airing outside for months, so I don't think the smell will go away

I think at 7 months I bought these a little too late. My baby left the chewing/observing/just holding stage at the same time she got these, so she never really played with them. They are great quality for the right baby though! My baby just required more stimulating toys by the time I got her these.

I absolutely loved theses toys and was perhaps more attached to them than my child. They were quite a bit larger than I expected (they easily fill a cupped adult hands), so they are easy for little hands to grab. My child’s favorite to nibble on was the orange and red chunky caterpillar. In the end as an attempted minimalist I realized that I didn’t need every single animal and essentially got rid of most of them. As my child got older and could name the animal she had a lot of fun with a handful of them. If I could purchase just the caterpillar or just individual items I would but for the price it’s probably worth it just to get the whole set.The only thing I don’t like is that they have tiny holes so if any water gets in them you have the problem of worrying about mold, so that’s the only down side.

When these toys arrived, I was so happy because they are adorable and are a perfect size for my toddler. As soon as I took them out of the package, however, I was hit by a VERY STRONG CHEMICAL SMELL! The smell was so bad that I simply put them all back in the box and have requested a refund. I cannot believe these are advertised as "safe"!

I buy a lot from Amazon, sometimes disappointed sometimes pleased and sometimes ecstatic. I love these toys so much bigger, colorful and textured than I could have imagined. I am excited to see my 6 month old grandson see these on his next visit. I have the privilege to care for my grandchild two days a week. I am always looking for toys to encourage and excite him. This has to be one of them.Update: These texture toys are absolutely the baby's favorite. he always goes for the giraffe first, then the fish. I have purchased a second set for my daughter to have, I need to keep them here. I think will be a new shower gift favorite.
