Only negative was it needed a better wiring diagram.

Purchased this remote for the long wire lead on it, which is to replace the short lead remote on my Harbor Freight electric hoist. Once I had both remotes opened up to compare the wiring, it became obvious that they were essentially wired identically except that the wires were different colors. Once the translation from one remote's colored wires, to the new remote's colored wires, it was a straight-forward swap. The only difference between the two remotes was the emergency cut-off, but that wasn't an issue and could be ignored. The new remote works well.

Just a little expensive. But great fit

I bought this item to replace the 6ft cable that comes with the 220/440lb hoist. One place said it did fit, the other said it didn't, I bought anyway. After replacing it, it did not work. However, I know what needs to be done and did, and it works very well. So, for all those who have the same issue here is what you need to do:1. Disconnect control from hoist.2. Disassemble both controllers.3. Swap the wiring from the 20ft to the 6ft, ensure that you connect to the round electric block inside the 6ft (must be reused).4. Reassemble controller.5. Connect to hoist.The round electrical component and main control box/buttons in the 6ft must be used in order for the controller to work.

Needs to be interchangeable. Had to have someone to make it compatible with the hoist
