I don't typically write reviews for products but I couldn't NOT for these pens! After a very tough decision on which gel pens to purchase for my adult coloring books, I went with this brand. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The pens are very smooth and the ink just glides out. I absolutely love the metallic, glitter and pastel pens. It gives my pictures depth! The quality is great. It does not bleed through the paper. Anyone stuck on which gel pens to purchase for their adult coloring books, look no further-- these are fantastic. Purchased these after reading oth!er Amazon customer reviews, and I am very pleased!! Every pen worked well, flowingly, right out of the package. I had not used a gel pen since our daughters were young, maybe 20 years, and the gel pens back then were a hot bother! Not these! THESE ARE GREAT! Smooth writing, easy coloring of detailed areas on cards I make. The glitter gel pens work very well also, no clogging and messing around. The price point was good for me on these. I would recommend considering them if you are thinking about buying a set of gel pens. These are not the same as Uniball Signo or other more expensive pens, but if you are looking for gels that write well and color nicely, these could be the ones for you! Happy Amazon Shopping!

The Super Doodle Gen Pens set of 36 gel pens is undoubtedly a good deal at the price I paid.Here's what's good:Most of the pens wrote smoothly once they got going; I only had skipping issues with a few of them (no color type in particular). You'll have to find the appropriate pressure for each pen in order to achieve the smoothest result. The colors are vibrant and, although it's difficult to tell from the sampling picture I've included, the metallic colors are quite shimmery and the glitter colors have plenty of glitter. They do not bleed through regular weight paper but do bleed through a bit on rough coloring book paper (think along the lines of a children's coloring book or construction paper, paper that is more porous). The package the pens come in is a nice carrying case and will keep the pens in order. The caps seem to fit tightly, which will extend the life of the ink if you don't use them often.Here's what could be better:The milky pastel colors really aren't; they are nearly as bright as their neon counterparts. They are still wonderful for using on white or light colored paper but don't show up as well as you'd think on dark colored paper (like the white does). The colors do not layer. For example, I blocked off a section using a black Sharpie marker, and the white gel pen over the dried Sharpie doesn't work/show up very well. It also isn't effective to use one gel pen on top of another (like to try and blend colors), even after the first color has dried; it just doesn't work.Conclusion:These gel pens are great for writing in a journal or scrapbook, doodling, or other general writing uses. I don't think I'd use them much in coloring books as it's difficult to smoothly and seamlessly (without pen lines) color a large area.

Wow! About 100 reviews have been added since I ordered my Super Doodle Gel Pens set. They arrived in 2 days (LOVE Amazon Prime) and I finally got the chance to fully test them. Since I also got my set for free and promised to provide an honest review, here's mine...Packaging/ContentsA nice set! 36 pens in a tiered, clear plastic case. There are 5 types of pens in this set:Sparkle (12) - black, gray/silver, aqua, green, dark blue, blue, purple, magenta, red, orange, yellow, lemonMetallic (10) - dark gray, gray/silver, gold, green, dark blue, blue, purple, magenta, red, orangeNeon (6) - purple, blue, geen, orange, pink, yellowMilky (6) - purple, blue, green, orange, pink, yellowRegular (2) - black, whiteThe case contains a label but it does not list colors by name or number. The pen casings are not imprinted with any names, numbers or markings.QualityGood quality! The pen casing is decent quality plastic and they have rubber barrel grips. The cap clip, barrel grip and bottom cap pretty closely reflect the ink color. The plastic casing is clear and you can see that the pen ink is filled to between 50 and 75% of the pen length - a standard amount. The plastic on the sparkle set has embedded sparkles! The caps give a satisfying snap when you put it onto the end of the pen for storage while the pen is in use. Nice confirmation that you won't be chasing the cap when you're finished with the pen. I would say the point size on all of these pens is 1mm, so these are not fine tipped.UsageFun to use! These pens have smooth ink flow and excellent coverage. There was an occasional pokey pen that I had to get started by scribbling on scrap paper and also a few occasions where the flow was too much to stay inside the lines in tiny areas. Sometimes it felt like I was painting! It didn't seem to matter whether I did single strokes in one direction, continuous linear back and forth or a circular scribble, the coverage was super and you can barely see the pen strokes. Since I use my scanner/printer to photocopy coloring book pages onto a heavier weight paper, I can't comment whether these pens would bleed through paper but I suspect it would. As you can see from the photos the glitter colors look wet. Also, the black t-shirt I wore when coloring made me realize the glitter does shed from the page so you have to be careful not to brush it.ValueBuy them! These pens are definitely worth the price, currently at $24.95 + free prime shipping. I plan to purchase another set for my nephews and would not hesitate to buy these as a gift for anyone. I just wanted to note that even though mine sat for months untouched while I dealt with an ill family member that my pens still work great. I got them out last week and could not notice any difference in them since I reviewed them.

I am ordering more Super Doodles. The first I bought was for a gift for a child. Then I tried some of the pens, just to check. I ended up using them to solve the puzzles I do in the morning paper. What fun, and a new look so I decided to keep the set. Works great. Now I need another for the child's gift. Well ok. But then I decided my teacher friend would like a set also. So, there you go. I am so pleased with the quality that I want to share and the set is packaged so that I can give it as a gift. Thanks Amazon for providing such a great, fun set of pens -- for young and old alike.
