Six Month Reviw - Love it!
Ok, this is my first dedicated "gaming laptop". Did a lot of research before purchase and quickly found ProStar seemed to offer exceptional value for money in terms of features and hardware. The SSD is lightening fast, Windows is literally up and running within ten seconds. Graphics are wonderful, I mostly play WoT and WoW, both games run on the highest level of graphics flawlessly. The quality of the images is stunning and I now enjoy the games so much more.Keyboard and touchpad/mouse are responsive and seem durable, as is the overall case design.I waited six months to do the review to see if I had any problems or faults develop and am happy to report not one issue! The only matter I would not and I do not consider these to be "faults" but are worth mentioning is that the battery life is very short if you don't reduce the settings, around about 45 -50 minutes on the highest settings. Also the power pack gets very very warm, so hot you cant hold it in your hand after an hour or so.I contacted ProStar Customer Service on these - oh and they answered the phone in like three rings! - and found them to be helpful and reassured me both matters are normal for this design. With the settings lowered I can easily get four hours out of the battery and I put the power pack on a ceramic tile to reduce the heat build up.I will also mention that I brought a laptop cooling pad as my research showed most high end gaming machines do run hot. You can hear the fans boot up when the graphics card kicks into high gear, but its not excessively nosily and I think the cooling pad helps.Overall I am very pleased with my ProStar and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a well built, feature packed and reasonably priced gaming laptop

Prostar NH70RDQ 17.3 32GB 500MB
This thing works great. Runs Oculus Rift games no problem. Fan is quiet until games get rolling. Runs Photoshop CC and Corel Paint 2020 at 8535+ (48x acceleration) rating!!!! Get a good USB-C hub though. the cheap ones wont connect for some reason. The Totu 12-1 works great on usb 3 and 4k displays. RTX 2060 graphics card display is flawless so far. cant believe how light this poweful laptop is. Added an extra 500gb m.2 for games and apps. speedy! Studio One 4 music studio software works flawless also. saved a bunch $$$ over name brands.

Rift S Comparability
This PC is solid. Initially I was pissed because the dp mini runs on a intel card and not on the Nvidia card. After alot of homework it seemed pretty hit and miss weather people got the Rift S working with this laptop. So here is what you need to make a Rift S work with this laptop.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JGCK58M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I also bought another adapter to try to get this to work and it didn't but the adapter up above worked like a charm. the Usb C port on the very back of the laptop IS connected directly to the Nvidia card. I don't normally write reviews however I figured this would help someone else. I was so ticked initially I considered returning the laptop. Your welcome. :-)

Beast of a Laptop
I've had this laptop for a month now and it's been running exceptionally well. There's plenty of hard drive space and performance has been fast. I've primarily used it for gaming on the road when I'm not working, and it delivers everything at high - max settings with no problem. The fan may get a bit loud whenever gaming, but that's the case with all gaming laptops. Overall great buy that should last me a few years. I was hesitant about the Prostar brand at first because it was new for me, but I'm glad I took the leap because the specs were way too good to pass up for the price.

Just throw your money at it
At first I was unsure because I've not heard of the brand before. However I found out ProStar is just like Sager/Clevo, which is owned in the family and the best gaming pc I've seen. I've had it a month now and it works great, the video is very impressive and graphics amazing. The speed at which it boots up is so fast that I can have a game running in under 20 seconds after powering on. Compared to my 10 year old desktop build, i'm in awe. It is also amazing that such a powerful laptop can be held with one hand, it's so light I barely feel it resting on my lap. The fans blow out heat from sides and back when gaming but other than that it runs quietly. This is a pc I recommend!

VERY NOISY!
The fan makes far to much noise for even a small amount of CPU/GPU throughput.
