I was given these as an alternative to have to remove belts in Airport security. There are 2 buckles provided, one metal the other plastic. The plastic one is great. Its robust and easy to undo/fasten. No issues at the airport!

Far too much belt for my 36" waist and I tolerated for a long time. Eventually, I decided to cut the excess off (the claim is, this is OK to do). Now the end is fraying and looks a mess.Except for that, these are decent belts. Not being metal they do not (1) get hot and burn a bare tummy when not wearing a shirt, (2) do not have to be removed at airports, and (3) are suitable for those who object to leather goods.Since posting the review above, I received this advice (missing from the product description or with the product.)"I'm sorry, we said that the waistband can be cut, but it didn't make it clear that the tail of the waistband should be cut, but not the head (bevel). At the same time, after cutting the belt, you should use a lighter to quickly burn the cut part of the belt to tighten the nylon thread of the belt to prevent the thread from loosening."I had copied the bevel (which enables an easier slip through the band) and had not sealed the end. This increased the fraying. Now I know what to do and have levelled off the end and now seek a smoker who will lend me his lighter.

Thought we would try, suprised by the quality. Similar belts slip at the buckle these don't!

The belts were delivered with 2 spare buckles, 2 were metal construction and 2 were all plastic. I am currently using a plastic buckle which is very comfortable to wear and doesn't dig in when I bend over. I am 44 waist and the belts are plenty big enough straight out of the box. They can be shortened if required by trimming off the square end, remembering to seal the cut with a flame to stop fraying. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to replace a traditional belt. The first use is a little difficult to close the buckle but it gets easier after that.

Can be difficult to undo at times

Looked for a long time for a plastic buckle for travel. These Dona great job, have additional metal buckles included and come in presentation box

They are belts, and they hold up my pants. Can confirm the plastic buckle will not set off any metal detectors, fantastic.

Es la 2da vez que los pido porque además de que duran mucho tiempo estoy hablando de años (por lo menos en el caso de mi esposo fue así) no suenan en los filtros de seguridad del aeropuerto pues la hebilla es plastica y si quieres darle un toque formal puedes cambiar la hebilla por las de metal que vienen en el paquete. Sin duda la mejor compra.

Inwieweit die Plastikschnalle auch gut hält oder schnell defekt ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen, weil wir ausschließlich die Metallschnalle benutzen werden.

Lo uso para el pantalón del trabajo que me interesa que se me mueva lo menos posible. El producto me ha gustado bastante. Da un aspecto sobrio y permite ajustarlo a la perfección al no tener que depender de la distancia entre agujeros. Además es lo suficientemente ancho para ser cómodo y el material parece bastante resistente. Bastante contento, de hecho no descarto comprar otro para uso diario.
