Tasty Grubs Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae Made in USA 5lbs

Great bag of grubs. Chickens love it and lasts a while. Didn't notice a difference in egg taste. Some say their eggs taste better. Mine always taste good and so this didn't make a difference. But the chickens love them and a nice alternative, esp since they're made in USA. Did you know all of the mealworms we buy are made in China? I tell ya, it's no wonder our economy is suffering. So much stuff made in China, even Mealworms!! So this is a great alternative.

My chickens are finicky. They love the meal worms, but I wanted something that wasn't from China. These are from the US. At first the chickens ate them, so I bought two more big bags. But now they're not very interested. Not sure if it's because it's hard for chickens to see the brown grub against the ground or if they just prefer meal worms.

Ours hens like it a lot. At first they were not as wild about it as they were about Happy Hens dried meal worms, but HH is made in China and this product states that it is made in USA. So, I'd go with this product. The price is the only negative for me.

I have purchased Black Soldier Fly Larvae from Tasty Grubs for years. I have always been impressed with the product and with all my interactions with company representatives. This last batch that I purchased concerned me a bit because they were so light in color and skinny that they originally looked like mealworms to me. The company was so great at explaining the sizing and coloration variations that are possible due to life stage harvesting and drying process. I can attest that despite the lighter, skinnier appearance, the grubs are still a big hit with my birds!I will continue to recommend Tasty Grubs to anyone looking to enrich their birds' diets. They always deliver a superior product at an affordable price.

Not sure why they ask "flavor" I don't think I'll try them, but the birds in Wisconsin don't really seem to care for them. They will eat them if there is nothing else presented.

The grubs are great, but it seems to be taking my hens a while to warm up to them......this is the first time I have given these, so hopefully they will acquire a taste for them !!

Our chickens seem to really like them, no one has spit any out yet. Still watching to see if they turn their noses up at them but they only go nose down after them.

my chickens love these. Make for a nice winter treat in MI when insects are scarce. I like to scatter through the bedding in the their covered and protected pen in winter after they have gone in to roost. They go wild in the morning when they discover I have left a special treat for them to forage for. Healthy, nutritional, and an amazing winter boredom buster when they aren't getting out to free range. Although Grubblies brand are also American raised and dried as well (in GA) Tasty Grubs are far more affordable.
