Lovely and STRONG, Classic and Quality Umbrella.
I live in the Low Lands, where one really needs access to a huge supply of truly superb umbrellas. I go through umbrellas, as one goes through tall, iced, glasses of tea on a hot day. I take them places, and far later realize that I made a generous donation to the location of the umbrella rack in question, I bend them by slamming the car door on them , and I have left a string of really nice umbrellas all over the train seats of Western Europe. These were expensive umbrellas, but I needed that quality for the high winds, hail, and horizontal rain storms of the locales. So, what was I to do? Obviously there was a coding glitch in my brain, something to do with my mother being terrified by a vicious umbrella, just before giving birth to me. Who will ever know? But I needed a ready and reliable supply source of good umbrellas. Amazon filled the bill just fine for me and my needs.I ordered my first of these loyal, and sturdy umbrellas several years ago. I was pretty skeptical about its claims, even verging upon the cynical. However, I was determined, no umbrella was going to make a fool of me.. This umbrella is very chic, elegant, and conservative in appearance, , nothing too flashy or outre . This umbrella melted into the background of my sober suits, heels, and briefcase. I was well-pleased with the appearance. However, and this was a BIG however - would it stand up to the elements, the vagaries and torments that a decent storm in the Black Forest region of southern Germany can throw at one. Well, I did. not have long to wait, a storm was predicted - a real "doozie" (sp. - just not really sure). The winds howled and blew. The medieval gargoyles on the old buildings in this ancient town leered and grimaced at me, as if they., personally were just waiting to teach this uppity American a lesson.Well, guess what? The forces huffed, and puffed, and did NOT blow my umbrealla out of my hands. I stayed completely dry, my nice leather purse and briefcase - equally so. I tried several other locations as I traveled for business, always in a hurry, and (seemingly) always on Mother Nature's least inviting weather. I have now purchased six of these - a few for me, some for family visits, and others - just because. To date, I have experienced no problems with the umbrellas. Effortlessly strong, and tall, and proud, and my resolutions made in the heat of the moment (To work just that little bit harder on not losing them, or leaving them behind, as a token of my presence at the location in question.).Life is good again, I am dry again, and clients mo longer are required to witness me in my other identity, that of a soaked rag. Try these umbrellas, they are nice and strong, just do not break, and add a general air of sophistication to your self on those frequent, wet days in some areas of Europe, as well as highly saturated locations in the rest of the world.

Great Umbrella for the Price
Great umbrella. I had not owned one in many years, but since we've been getting plenty of rain, decided on this one after looking at the reviews. It's a nice umbrella, well build. Looks great, works well. If I had to critique it, I'd say that I wish the handle itself was true wood, as I'd dropped it once and the material showed right through. But that it is.The thing is a monster. And that isn't a bad thing. The day I opened it I thought I could have driven to work with the umbrella outside of my car and not use the wipers. Course, I didn't do that, but it is big enough for 2 people comfortably, and possibly a third. All in all, I like it.

Windy city tested, windy city approved
I've used this during multiple rainstorms now in Chicago with heavy winds and have never had any problems with it blowing inside out or other umbrella issues. It opens and closes very smoothly and when closed, has a very small profile so it's easy to carry. Now, this thing is big, so depending on your needs it may be too big. For myself, I am around 6'1" tall (185.42cm) and even when carrying a backpack, keeps myself and backpack dry. If your shorter or don't carry a backpack or something else, then you may want to look at something smaller.I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my brother, and if we lose them I'd buy them again since I'm very happy with the umbrella.

Good umbrella for the price
I just received my umbrella, so this is just a first impression. I haven't yet tried it in any actual rain or wind. The fiberglass construction makes this umbrella surprisingly lightweight for it's size, but it still has a very solid feel. I would expect that it will perform just fine in the rain. I'm curious to see if the fiberglass will hold up better in high winds than a steel framed umbrella. Although it's listed as a Golf Umbrella, it's smaller than some true Golf Umbrellas. Although it is noticeably larger than most standard umbrellas. The overall quality seems quite good for the price. The handle its a very lightweight white plastic, covered by some sort of wood colored finish. The brown coating looks nice, but is very fragile. My umbrella arrived very well packed, but the handle was already scratched up just from rubbing against the cardboard box it was packed in. It's going to be my dog walking umbrella, so I don't care. But users can expect the handle to show signs of wear very quickly, regardless of how carefully it's handled. Ignoring the flaky finish, the handle seems comfortable to hold, and has a nice wrist strap. This umbrella is a rather basic design. The canopy is not vented. The tip is exposed fiberglass, so if you use the umbrella as a walking stick, the tip will probably get scratched up quickly. Fancier umbrellas have a retaining ring that holds the ends of the folded ribs closed, this umbrella does not (so be careful not to let the tips of the ribs snag on things). None of the above are complaints, I didn't expect $100 features on a $20 umbrella. At this price point, I'd much prefer every penny was spent on getting solid construction rather than adding fancy extra features. The umbrella does come with a fabric sleeve to store it in.

Defective Product!
I was really excited about this umbrella because it was so big! However, I'd only used it about five times in moderate rain (no heavy winds or anything) and it BROKE. The middle shaft completely separated from the fabric, and the veins supporting the fabric kept popping out of place. In addition, it arrived with scratches on the wooden handle...For the price (pretty pricey I'd say for an umbrella.. I had been using a much smaller but $1.50 umbrella before from Daiso for about 1.5 years and it was completely fine), this was completely disappointing. Do not recommend at all.
