Cant beat the price!!!!
Works great and cheaper than some of the other ones like Klein that do the same thing

Works well on older, thicker walls.
I have old walls with thick skim coat over wire mesh, and others with bead board under finished plywood. This is the first finder with the depth to consistently find the studs. The wire detector works about as good as any other I've tried in my house, which isn't very good. I believe the wire mesh is the cause though.

Works with varied accuracy
While this does seem to detect studs, the sounds do not accurately represent if you are on a stud or an electrical detection. Because of measurements I was sure I was on a stud several times when mounting a TV but the finder kept beeping like I was detecting electrical wires (and that wasn't the case).

Its okay
Hit and mess, dont measure twice, measure 4 times, and hopefully drill once.

very accurate for my first use.
I used this first time for finding the studs and electrical wiring prior to installing metal shelving. It was very easy to locate the studs as there are a light on each side that light up and then the middle light when on center. Put a circle in the opening and done. Did not miss a stud. For electrical it was a bit trickier. The accuracy on that is not near as close as located studs. but if you understand how houses are wired, you can com close to being spot on. I did pick up a location that seemed electrical across the wall for four feet which I thought was unusual. Looking at the other side of the wall, there was two swag fixtures that had the wiring run across the studs. Problem solved. For the money, so far a great value.

Works good for price
I was skeptical that it would work very well as it's pretty cheap. But it works great for a homeowner. Definitely not professional grade but the price reflects that.

Defective
AC warning indicator is always on, even when I hold it away from the wall, so it's impossible to drill safely.

Stud/electrical finder
It works perfectly. Shows where the studs are located behind my drywall. Plus it alerts if there’s electrical wires in the wall
