Dr. MartensUnisex-Adult 1460 Nappa Combat Boot

I love this brand of shoe and boots.I have been a big fan of their look, fit and durability.I just bought my boyfriend his first pair, and I know he will love and wear them for a long time!

******Update 6/19/14 - I have, quite literally, worn these every day since I bought them 5 months ago...and they look and feel as great as the day I opened them! Every 2 weeks or so I have treated them to a nice buff of Wonder Balsam and that has keep them water resistant and given a nice sheen to the Napa leather. I really can't tell you how much I love these boots. It would break my heart if they stopped making the Napa leather version, which is why I'm back here looking to buy an identical pair as back-ups lol. These boots are awesome :)*******(Original Review - 1/24/14)I was concerned reading the reviews that the new breed of China-made Doc's would be far inferior to the English made originals. However my stompy-boot-lusting won out and my Amazon order was placed. I opted for the nappa leather and hoped the softer leather would ease the pain of the notorious break-in period. Well, these babies arrived and I was so stoked that I put them on still standing in my doorway. Aaahhh....love! So squishy and smooth, yet tough, thick leather. All stitching is evenly sewn, nice and straight. I am a bit OCD when it comes to this sort of thing and after inspecting these all over I can find no issues whatsoever. I am a womens size 8.5 with a slightly wide foot, so I opted for the men's version of these (UK7/Mens8/Womens9) thinking the extra width in the mens vs. the womens version would be good and I'm very happy I did so....they fit nice. I had bought a pair of insoles here on Amazon with this purchase thinking this would help if they were too big and found I didn't even need them, the fit was good without them. Sure, if they offered half sizes I may have gone a half size down, but it's nothing a thick pair of socks doesn't remedy....so no biggie.So I've been wearing them a week now...everyday....put them on at 5:30 a.m. before I leave for work and don't take them off until around 7:00 p.m. No pain, no drama...just super comfy boots that are breaking in beautifully. I'm already thinking of what color I'll get my next pair in because I can't see myself wanting to wear any other shoes but these for awhile :)

I was desperate to buy a pair of white Dr Martens since I already have a pair of black ones that I ADORE. I'm always a 7 B (M) BUT I want people to be aware of the fact that they are a little bit narrow. I think I can probably break them in with the different techniques you can find at the official Dr Martens website. They have all the info about how to break them in but the other thing is that I have a bunions. The shoe on my left foot didn't give me any problems while walking, but the right one... -_-I'd suggest to keep stretching out the uppers and use the balsam. It might take a while but it will feel better.The black ones I bought long time ago are the "Dr. Martens Women's Shriver Hi Fashion Boot" As I said, I have bunions and they give me enough space to even use thick sock different from this ones I bought.Overall, they are perfect and I will keep buying Dr. Martens. They are worth it.

I love these boots. The only problem I’m having with mine is on the right boot. The seam that goes across the top of your foot is a bit tight and rubs. They are new, so I’m hoping that it stretches out a bit there after the break-in period. Other than that they are comfortable.

I love my new DM 1460 boots! When I first tried them on they were kinda big but I tried them with thick socks and they're perfect. I've worn them several hours and they haven't hurt my feet at all. Great for me right out of the box. Glad I didn't order a size down cuz I'm not going to go through the agony others describe to break in any boot or shoe. These are plenty roomy and I ordered normal size. Had smaller size years ago and they always hurt my feet. Not these. Beautiful, timeless style and very fast shipping. Just order them!

I'm so impressed with this pair and never expected them to be this soft, size right on point and so comfortable!!!! I have 2 potent leather boots but it took me 2 months to break them in and this pair is truly the best I ever bought. They go with everything, especially fall colors with cardigans and wool leggings. I'm between sz 8 and 8.5 and this pair is perfect with room for thick socks. Girls get them!!

Ive been looking for some soft leather Docs for months, and tried the Virginia Leather Pascal boots but had an issue with the fit across the top of the foot. These fit perfectly and feel amazing. So pleased! It took a long search.
