Fantastic value, beautiful knife
Upon arrival, the clip blade touched the liner and the tip was pretty rounded off. I was able to put pressure on the blade and get it lined up, and took a fine file and strop to sharpen up the tip. The opening and closing was pretty rough in the beginning. I oiled and sharpened both blades, opened and closed it about 100 times, this helped a bunch. The fit and finish of the knife other than the two things I fixed, is great The scales are really nice with no gaps. Might be the cheapest AND best looking knife in my growing collection. This is the second Imperial I've bought recently. The IMP22Y sodbuster I got last month was flawless and only needed sharpening. My taste in folders has mostly been flipper, ball bearings and top shelf blade steel recently. It is nice to find such cool, simple knives for so little. The minor adjustments I made to this knife really made it a 5 star knife. The blade steel took a wicked edge and has held up well to carving wood. This knife's description is different from place to place but for the record....It has Stainless Steel liners not brass like the sodbuster, and the scales are pinned with Brass pins. Knife snobs and beginners alike should love it. This knife is an out-of-the-park home run.

Good knife for the money
Pretty good knife for the money, but I have a few gripes. First, these are a little small for a true trapper pattern knife. I also happen to have a Case full-sized trapper, and this Imperial "large" trapper, is still smaller... The regular sized trapper knives from Imperial would be considered a "mini-trapper" from Case knives... So I think Imperial's sizing is a little off here.... Second, Imperial only produces the "large" trapper in this rather feminine "cracked ice" pattern scales, whereas if you get the "regular" trapper (mini-trapper for Case knives) they come in a variety of color options... This is also the same for Imperial's Canoe pattern slipjoint folder as well.. Not sure why they only offer the "large" models in "cracked ice" scales, but yeah.... That's all you get if you want the large...The steel is just okay... You really get what you pay for here... Don't expect these knives to hold a super sharp edge, or even hold it for very long for that matter. These are what I would call beater knives for when you just need to hack through things for utility purposes and don't want to get your nice knives dirty or gunked up...Fit and finish is okay. I have a few different models of imperial knives and they all have minor flaws like the the scales not being completely flush with the bolsters... And the folding action is not very smooth at all, but still works just fine... So these are just concessions that you will have to make for a knife of this price.Overall, these are great knives for the money. If you are looking for a knife with perfect fit and finish, and blade steel that takes a razor blade edge and holds it, then this is not going to be the knife for you. It's a good knife as long as you don't set your expectations too high.

Possibly The “Best Bang For Your Buck” Pocket Knife
This Trapper style knife from Schrade is quite possibly the best bang for the buck knife I have purchased. The scales are beautiful, the bolsters are very nice and the blades are not only sharp out of the box (I am able to shave arm hair with both blades), they also line up nicely when closed.I bought a knife from a well known company in Oregon (starts with a “K” and ends with a “shaw” last week and paid over 4 times this much. I gotta tell you, I prefer the feel of this Schrade Trapper out of the two.At the time of this review, the price for this Trapper knife is a bit over $10. You can’t beat that with a stick!!If you’re looking for a nice knife without breaking the bank, THIS is your knife.

Great knife!
If you're looking for a no-frills well made knife then this is it. It doesn't feature brass liners but has brass pins. Mine arrived sharp and workmanship appears to be on spot. Truly a bargain for a knock around knife that can take a lot of abuse!

Can’t beat it for the money.
Very nice craftsmanship. Smooth operation. Not the best steel but for the money I like it.

Beautiful, but...
I got this pocketknife for my hubby for his birthday, as he loves this brand. When he opened the box, the knife only says sharade on the blade, it's not stamped anywhere else. Okay, no big deal right. He folds out the knives easily, they aren't super sharp. Not a big deal, he loves honing his knives. The biggest issue is the blades are very flimsy, they move side to side. He said this brand never used to be this way, and he was pretty disappointed with the performance of the knife overall. It does fit in his pocket well though.
