I'm a really like this gadget. After initially experiencing trouble with the filter 'burping' and sending liquid shooting up out of the container, I reread the instructions (duh) and tried again, making sure to leave the recommended 2-3 minutes' settling time. Result: perfect almond milk, no clogged filter and barely any need for further sieving (I just sit a small tea-strainer over the final container to catch the few 'escapees').My apologies to anybody who might have been put off by my earlier review—this is a good product that does its job beautifully.

It filters ONLY the big pieces, not the medium nor the small ones.You must use a filter bag and/or a tea filter after this, but you must press it to drain. If the drink would drain itself through the tea filter I would be happy, but you need to help by pressing it with a spoon (really time consuming!).I bought this item in order not to use too many stuffs, to save time and space in my kitchen. Now I have more stuffs and I have to spend more time filtering twice (or more) and washing the utensils.Till now I've been using a coffee filter jar, which is not great but at least it works better that this and it's only £7 in IKEA. Please don't waste your money.I don't know if it's possible but I would love to get a refund, and I would not mind to return the item if it was free of charge.

I bought this to make oat milk, I think it’s easier to just use a blender then a sieve/muslin, this thing is a bit of a faff

I thought it would help me to reduce the time spent with the strainer and although it is faster, it doesn't filter very well, so I ended up with a liquid with lots of bits.So, I'll keep using the strainer.

Great does the job perfect very happy .
