The online descriptions all say it works with Explore Air, but the packaging says only Explore Air 2. I have the original Explore Air. However, I also have a Maker, so I was willing to sacrifice the Air to try the Foil Quill and magnetic mat out. I was careful to move the rollers out of the way and to move the magnets down so that carriage wouldn’t hit. The first one with no magnetic mat, a simple design, using washi was fine. The second test with the magnetic mat broke a small piece of black plastic off. I don’t know what that piece of plastic is for (yet)! And the Foil got really messy looking while it was drawing an intricate Anna Griffin design, but it worked perfectly! I definitely liked the solid mat better, but I would caution against it if you have an original Explore Air and you can’t “risk” the machine.

It is a resistant product, very nice, quite useful, a little difficult and uncomfortable to use at first, but otherwise it is a very good purchase.

Realmente estoy contento con esta compra!ANTES usaba el tapete normal de la Cameo 4 y los papeles y cartones se pegaban a ese tapete, también el sobrante del Foil ensuciaba el pegamento del tapete del Cameo 4 y ni hablar del uso del washi tape o masking tape que ensuciaban el sustrato que estaba foleando.AHORA con el tapete magnético todo eso NO ocurre! Es un trabajo limpio, los magnetos son potentes, el tapete es completamente metálico y de buena calidad, es súper preciso cuando coloco en una coordenada lo que deseo folear.IMPORTANTE!! Leer las instrucciones antes de usar!! Ya que tiene sus detalles:NO hay que colocar un imán en la parte superior.Los Imanes laterales deben estar una pulgada más abajo del punto dónde se inicia el foleado.Las ruedas de arrastre de la Cameo no deben pasar sobre los imanes.El tapete metálico debe entrar DERECHO, totalmente paralelo horizontalmente a la Cameo, requiere que lo asujetes con la mano o folees al centro del tapete para mantener el equilibrio por su peso.NUNCA usar el tapete para corte, solo para foleado y esbozado (uso de lápiz).Con eso, el tapete les funcionará de lujo ;)

Es espectacular, usar este tapete te ahorra dolores de cabeza cuando usas el Foil Quill.Ante de comprarlo, rompi muchísimo material, ya que se pegaba a la goma de los tapetes convencionales y al despegar lo arruinabas todo.El sistema de imanes es genial. Aunque podría mejorar haciendo mas delgados los imanes que se incluyen con el tapete.No doy 5 estrellas por 2 motivos:1-Los imanes que se incluyen manchan el material, repare este error envolviendolos en cinta adhesiva trasparente-2- Los imanes son muy gruesos y tienen a chocar con las puntas del Foil QuillPor lo demás, es una excelente compra si te gusta usar el Foil Quill.

I am very happy with this mat so far. I experimented and was very pleased with the outcome. I use a scan n cut2 cm350, and had purchased a foil quill to use with it. The foil quill works fantastic with this mat on cardstock. I have yet to try it on the thin leather and vinyl, that will be very soon. Also I do leatherworking and getting different fonts the right size to transfer over I like to have the scan n cut draw the fonts on regular paper, this is also very quick and easy with this mat. The only thing I noticed that was not ideal is I had to keep my hand under the mat just till it loaded because the metal does have a little weight. An still very pleased and would recommend this may to anyone.

This worked great. I used my silhouette with a foil quill heat pens to foil certificate folders using a regular mat for the folders didn't work well. I found this magnetic mat and it made things very easy..would recommend with delicate paper or projects.

I purchased this to use with the foil quill. However, I did return it. I have found that regular sticky mats & tape work great.

Die Magnete sind stark genug, um eine Folie auf Karton festzuhalten. Sicherlich auch geeinget, um auf Papier oder Karton zu zeichnen, wodurch man hierbei das Papier nicht auf einer Klebematte anbringen muss. So spart man sich Beschädigung. Zum Schneiden geht das natürlich nicht.
