The arms make getting in and out of the chair very difficult.

This bed/chair is sooo comfortable and it's extra wide! I love the wide arms and can set my cup on them without any movement when I sit down. Very sturdy!!! The reclining position with the feet up is my favorite. I sit on the chair with my laptop or a movie on my day off...and the day just wizzes by!! And if I fall asleep in the process....I'm all taken care of!! The reason why I only gave 4 stars is because it came in soooo many different pieces and I HATE putting furniture together! It took me a good few hours. I also had to get out my drill because two of the holes for the giant screws were not punctured all the way through and I had to make the holes myself. Also, I think the mattress, though comfortable, is not the full length of a regular sized twin mattress. I'm 5'4" and it's fine for me...but I don't think my male visitors will be able to sleep on it, but will try. However.... the house smells soo good from the pine that the chair is made of, and the final product is excellent!! I recommend it!!

Beautiful wood, unfinished so you can stain or paint if desired. Well constructed with quality workmanship. Easy assembly. The mattress is very comfortable and firm. A bear to move around alone but once on the lounger it is fine. Requires a cover which was not noted in the ad, however, quality covers for reasonable price with perfect fit, beautiful materials and designs available through DCG. Covers are individually made-to-order and easy to install. Lovely combination. Highly recommended. However, as the lounger is a twin bed size it is large and requires more space than a chair. Easily and smoothly converted from lounger to bed.

We ordered this futon as a guest bed. The frame arrived very quickly and is really sturdy and well made. We called the company because we did not receive the mattress. The customer service was wonderful. They said the mattress was on backorder but they could send us a better quality mattress from their display right away, for no extra charge. We agreed and received the upgraded mattress right away.If the mattress we received was an upgrade then the original mattress would not even be comfortable to sit on. We aren't too upset because we've priced futon mattresses and they are not cheap so, you get what you pay for. The frame and the customer service from this company are top notch!!!

I'm very pleased to write about this piece of furniture. We needed something the size of a twin bed but not too bulky in the room that would accomodate lounging for my son. This was fairly easy to put together, not too heavy but heavy enough to withstand a 7 year old playing on it. It is the perfect size for two people to sit comfortably and lounge together. Keep up the good work with quality, made in the USA furniture.

The item was well constructed with a firm non spring mattress. I managed to assemble it myself with just the included allen wrench and a common tip screw driver. It was delivered well before the month delivery time Amazon predicted. I use it as my bed in my small apartment and it is a little short for my 5'9" frame ,but comfortable enough.

I love this futon. It is very comfortable and very functional. It makes a wonderful lounge chair that me and my son can sit and read in and then converts into a perfect bed for him. Twin sheets fit perfectly on the 9 inch mattress. Although I recommend that two people assemble this futon, I was able to do it by myself, with a little help from a wall. Highly recommended!!
