Pretty legit!
Not a bad bang of the buck. I used this bmx crankset on my 80's style bike to convert it to a single speed. Worked like a charm. The paint is thick. But, when I threaded the peddle on. It chipped the paint on the mounting surface. Other than that, the bearings are nice an smooth and the measurements are tight in the old school crank bracket.

big stroke for my cruiser
Hi, Bought this in black to install on my 2018 Firmstrong Bruiser. Bruiser developed a screech when cranking under load and found a bad bottom bracket outer bearing race that had been machined out of round. Bought this set because of the sealed bearings and compatibility to one piece crank sprockets. All steel components, and industry std. 2RS bearings. Great quality, installed as expected. *Set does not include a chainring adapter spacer nor instructions for assembly. Since there are not any instructions and very little detail on the product I'll go into more detail than a regular review.* Before installing you must know: #1 the inside diameter and thickness of the chainring your using. Spacer (purchase) required here to adapt from this sets 19mm shaft to the diameter of the chainring. typ. 23.8mm. #2 Know the width of your bottom bracket to a .10 mm; nominal 68mm. The bearing spacer tube included in the set may require cutting down to get the assembled bearing flange to flange distance to as close the BB width as possible. My BB measured 68.25mm and the stacked assembly measured 69.15mm; removed .900mm #3 before disassembling: Know the OEM distance from the inside face of the chainring to the outer edge/face of the bottom bracket. Included 19mm id. spacers may need to be installed to retain the correct chain line. When assembling do not over tighten the bolts securing the arms to the shafts. This is the bearing preload, excessive force will load the inner race against the outer race position and immediately damage the radial bearings. 2-3lbs torque only This install has some minor detail that requires some skill and special tools. However if in doubt bypass disappointment and incidental damage by taking it to bicycle repair professional for install. 2hrs labor The assembly is well worth its cost. I give it a 3 of 5 in difficulty of install.
