Excellent Tool for Mitered Corners
These clamps are a game changer if you create miters. Using the supplied spreader pliers, open them and apply the to your corners. They’re made of strong spring steel with sharp points, so they will leave small dents, but they’re easily sanded out. Just finished making a small jewelry box and these worked great keeping all the mitered corners tight.

Very useful
As a trim carpenter I use these almost every day. I believe that these are one of the best ways to hold the outside corners of trim while installing. They do leave a small hole behind, however in most cases this is smaller then the hole left by the nails. I have other carpenters ask me on a regular basis where I got these after they see how well they work for the job. I have even had painters that liked them because using these and glue on an outside corner no nails are required to keep the corner tight. Just leave the clamp on long enough for the glue to set and you will get a perfect miter. For that reason i recommend the 12 pack because you can leave the clamps on your corners while continuing to work on other corners. You can use these by hand but it is a bit difficult. I highly recommend buying the Collins Tool Miter Spring Clamp Pliers, they make these clamps alot easier to work with and you can get more tension on the corner which will give you a better finished product

Great for good fitting corners.
Pretty good clamp. Minimal surface damage from the pointed ends. Does a good job off holding 45 degree cuts for glue to dry. They allow minor adjustments in your corners. They are not strong enough to close a bad cut corner but are good for holding them in place.

Pricey but probably worth it
I bought the starter version with the tool, belt clip, and about a dozen clips to begin with. They really work well if you can tolerate the little divots created as the clips bite into your material. After using them a few time a coming close to running out of clips I bought another set of clips.I’m a homer-gamer and I expect my appetite for clips to be satisfied - at least for a few months.

Good Collins clamps
They work as they should, but they just don't have enough clamping force to really be useful. I've tried them a couple times for gluing ripped mitered column wraps, but ended up going with blue tape as has worked for me before. Fool me twice... Maybe they're better for small items?

Worth every penny
Do yourself a favor and buy the pliers as the clamps take a good amount of force to open by hand and if you aren’t careful may split or tear out of your work creating more finish work, or worse ruining you material!
