No way its loud enough
Bought this and a triple-pack of Zircon units at the same time. Sorry, but this one is less than half the volume of the others. It needs to be as loud as a smoke detector, otherwise its of little use. It would be a stretch to believe I'd hear it from in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. No way I'll hear it when its up in the attic with the hot water heater. Disappointed, because I like the design better than the others.

Excellent product. No water heater should be without this. Alarm is made specifically for hot water heaters and willalert you to a leak. Super easy to install.

probably I received a dud, but I could not attach a battery easily, and when it was finally attached, the alarm did not test positive. But the alarm did go off multiple times too early and inappropriately in this process.
