BDTrims Tailgate Raised Letters Compatible with 2018-2020 Expedition Models (Black)

Laser-cut 'EXPEDITION' letters arrived on time and nicely packaged. The black letters are backed with 3M automotive adhesive tape. Without removing the backing film, it's a good idea to test fit the letters to familiarize yourself with their exact placement. After cleaning the chrome trim with the supplied alcohol wipes and making sure the application surface is dust/debris free, just work your way through the letters one at a time.1. Test the position without removing the backing film.2. Slowly remove the backing film without overly flexing the letter. Work from a top edge of a letter and gently peel away - don't rush this bit.3. Gently place the letter into position. Don't press on just yet - you can either wiggle or nudge the letter if you need to make a slight positioning adjustment4. Then wipe over with a microfiber cloth and apply moderate pressure to make the letter stick and lock into position.5. As you work along the row of letters, keep an eye on centering the letter within each of the preexisting depressions in the trim work, and the letters should all line up nicely.The old saying goes, 'measure three times, cut once.' Take your time, text the position first, and only remove backing film one letter at a time as you place them into position. In all, it should take you 10-15 mins to have a professional-looking application.The letters I applied have been installed for 3+ months and have been through multiple automatic carwashes and handwashes. They've not faded under the hot Houston, TX sun or flexed or peeled away in the heat, humidity, or rain.Funnily enough, it's not uncommon to park in our local supermarket's lot, go in to shop, come out, and see three Expeditions all the same color and trim level parked in a row. You'll know yours, seeing you have installed your shiny new trim letters. :-)

They are stickers and they are not flush. I’m not sure how long they will stay on. Wish I could have returned them.

Easy to install and looks great!!

I had a 2016 F150 Platinum that I put these on, it they really stood out. I figured I would do the same thing to my 2020 Expedition, I was not disappointed they make that very large Bill Board look a little more refined. The reason for 4 stars is because of adhesion, one of the "X"'s corners is starting to peel up. I am not sure if it is the letter fault or mine for not cleaning it correctly. I would not hesitate to order them again.Edit 2/12/21. I received another complete set of letters from BDtrims. The "X" I took out was stuck to the metal it came off of the double sided tape. I took off the old one and replaced it with the new one so far so good. Great customer service.

Cant speak for durability yet since I just put them on but they are a great, cheap addition to a standard 2020 Ford Expedition! Love the look. Be careful with pulling off the red adhesive, it was a little challenging. Other than that it was pretty street forward applying each letter.EDIT: My letter X started to peel shortly after I applied, although I applied it per directions. Reached out to the seller and they promptly sent me a new letter X. Great customer service.

They look nice on my Expedition. I only give it 4 stars because it was hard to take the backing off as it was really stuck to the adhesive. The package also did not include an alcohol wipe as indicated needed in the instructions.

I like the way this product highlights the back of my Expedition. I think it looks better than the bare chrome-colored letters that come standard with the car. If you buy an Expedition, you might as well enhance it a little. Be careful when pealing the backing off the letters because it could be tricky. In addition to following the directions that come with this item, I recommend pealing from a larger side of a letter to a smaller side because the backing is very adhesive and smaller sections can roll up when you peal them (the letter “X” is a good example). Pretty straightforward to install otherwise. Even my wife appreciates the look of this extra expense.
