Add some SPICE to your life!
This was among the most amusing Q&As I have read in quite some time. For those who need some clarification: dill weed SHOULD NOT be confused with marijuana! I already have a difficult time eating potato salad in moderation -- sprinkle some type of hallucinogenic in it and well...watch out! This spice is certified USDA Organic. Why is that important? Similar to non-organic food, many spices are treated with chemicals (pesticides and herbicides), contain GMOs and are irradiated. Most of us aren’t super familiar with the process of irradiation. Radiation is applied to kill bacteria and other contaminants, leaving the finished product with decreased levels of vitamins and natural enzymes. Irradiation also changes the chemical composition of a spice, potentially creating toxic, carcinogenic by-products in the food and increasing our exposure to free radicals. Nearly all spices sold in the United State are fumigated (sterilized) with chemicals that are banned in Europe. Hazardous stuff! Thankfully, we have an alternative.Simply Organic dill is sold at a reasonable cost. It’s full of taste and is great on nearly everything: poultry, seafood (salmon), soups, salads (macaroni/potato), pickling/fermenting foods, breads, dairy (sour cream/ cream cheese), scrambled/deviled eggs. It’s most fun to sprinkle some on popcorn or on your homemade potato chips! It’s important to check the expiration date on our spices to prevent staleness or lack of potency. The bottom of Simply Organic bottles have a best by" date to assure that you’re not getting sold old stock. And by the way, it’s a real glass bottle which can easily be reused or repurposed nicely.

Smells fresh, looks fresh
I was unable to get fresh dill from my local grocery and I know that the dried stuff never has much flavor when it comes in plastic bottles. This comes in an airtight glass jar and the quality is superb.

Good quality organic dill at a great price
I use dill for chicken, chicken soup, and salmon. Fresh dill is best, but dried dill is honestly a good close second. It's a much closer match for the fresh version than things like cilantro or basil, which don't compare in my opinion. But dill does very well in a spice cabinet. The Simply Organic dill is great quality ... doesn't cake ... and it's organic! The bottle is very nice too. It always feels like a bit of luxury to have nice thick glass spice bottles instead of the inexpensive plastic bottles. The price is great, the quality of the dill is nice, and the bottle - including the pouring top - is very nice. Overall I have no reservations in recommending this if you need some dill!Try mixing some dill into fresh cream cheese before serving it with bagels & lox. They tend to sell chive cream cheese, but not dill cream cheese. I'm not sure why, because dill cream cheese on a bagel with salmon is fantastic.
