Loose Connectors? Really?! / Failed after 34 months
The Pacroban 8K HDMI 2.1 fiber optic cable has a source and output end. Both connectors are labeled, but the labeling is not obvious. I installed the cable backwards, and no image. Flipped it around, and the cable worked. The connectors, while heavy and made of metal, DO NOT FIT TIGHTLY IN THE HDMI PORTS. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A CABLE AT THIS PRICE POINT. I moved my projector slightly to one side and the image cut out BECAUSE THE CABLES DO NOT FIT TIGHTLY. I would highly recommend avoiding these cables. Even my cheap $20 cables fit better than this. These are a joke, IMHO.After two years, I started getting video dropouts, no image, flashes of light, and green screens. Replaced the cable and the problems disappeared. Very disappointed for the price. Had to pull a new cable through the wall to replace the Pacroban. Definitely NOT Recommend.UPDATE: 2/13/2023. Since these cables have a lifetime warranty, I contacted Pacroban via email, describing my cable's issue, and sending them a screen capture of the Amazon receipt. They promptly responded to my email, and they shipped a replacement cable free of charge via UPS 2nd day air within a few days! Great customer service. Bumped this cable from one to two stars due to the customer service being great, even if the cable wasn't.

Eliminated loss of picture issues
I was using a standard 25ft hdmi 2.1 cable for years and not having any issues. I recently changed from cable to streaming over a Roku. Everything was working but would frequently get the video signal coming in and out. By that I mean the screen would go black for a second or two and then come back and my TV's OSD would tell me that Dolby Vision was reinitiated. Anyway I suspected from other research that it could be due to the pretty long cable run through the walls. I had heard that fiber optic should be an improvement for this length or longer. Fast forward and I am not having the signal loss any longer. Unfortunately I can no longer use the ARC channel which is ok for me because I was only using it for streaming apps on the smart TV which are now being performed by the Roku anyways. Long story short it fixed my problem and I am very satisfied with the product.

Cheaply made, actually
I spent a pretty penny trying to get a long HDMI cable, and thought this might be it. I use this to plug in my computer's graphics card to a UHD TV. So, one of its ends is exposed to some residual heat from the graphics. Not a lot, because the graphics card is watercooled.Less than a year later, I'm starting to get periodic black flickering on my TV while the computer is on, sometimes with great frequency, and sometimes the picture is completely lost with static. It always is more likely to happen the longer the computer is on. After checking a lot of possible issues, I examined this HDMI cable, and the side that was plugged into the graphics card - the casing is starting to open! Who knows what other cheap soldering might have become destabilized with minor heat exposure. Either way, I replaced this with a much cheaper but well-reviewed HDMI cable and the black flickering problem has instantly gone away, firmly pointing the finger at this HDMI cable.I've never before had an HDMI cable fail like this before, and to have one fail under less than a year for such a price is frankly, insulting to a consumer. Go buy your HDMI cable elsewhere.

Verified - 50ft HDMI Cable 4k @ 60hz HDR & Dolby Vision!
50ft HDMI Cable - 4k @ 60hz HDR & Dolby Vision! I did not test this cable at 8k or for ARC as I did not need either. After buying and returning three 50 ft 4k HDMI cables that failed on performing to thier listed specifications, I opted for this 8k cable. Using the new Chromecast with Google TV, Yamaha Receiver and Vizio P Series TV. Works flawlessly for 4k @ 60hz HDR and Dolby Vision. Connectors are well made and cable is very thin and easy to conceal. This is a directional cable so pay attention before permanently installing.

If you are experiencing drop outs and picture glitches with 4k hdr this is the cable to get
Previously had a monoprice optical cable 50 foot and while it worked with my older 4k projector it did not cut the mustard with the benq ht3550 which is an amazing projector. With the monoprice was getting picture glitches and complete dropouts. After some research settled on this cable with the hope it would have the needed headroom to handle the long run and get the signal through. Happy to report it seems to be operating flawlessly! Initially I tested out of wall but now it is installed in wall. Still working great. And it's cheaper than the monoprice so a win win.

Will Not Do 4K 120hz HDR10.
Using 2 of these on a brand new Sony X900 H 85” TV.1 of them goes from an HDMI 2.1 port on the TV to my new XBOX Series X and is supposed to do 4K 120hz with HDR 10. I’m getting massive artifacts, audio loss, screen tearing, and blackouts. I’ve tried both of these long run cables that I purchased. They do not work for actual 4K 120 YZ endpoints. That’s the only reason I bought these was to cover a long distance with modern equipment connected.I’m outside the return policy or I’d absolutely send these back. They advertise things they flat out struggle to do.As an aside, I connected my Xbox Series X to the new TV using the cable it came with, and it was perfect. So it’s absolutely these cables. I definitely will not bother with Pacroban again.

WASTE OF MONEY: Dead within months (already installed in-wall)
This cord was good for a short time (counted in weeks, not months). Did well on the HDMI test run through both my TV and Apple TV devices in the beginning. Then the screen started blinking black while using my Apple TV. Ran the test again and both devices say the HDMI cable is now bad. Absolutely nothing changed, nothing was touched, moved or fussed with prior to this problem. Too bad this cable cost a lot of money and is already nstalled in-wall. I thought it might be future-proof. I was very wrong and paid the price. I recommend buying certified HDMI cords that don't promise the moon like this one did.I sent an email to [email protected] as they recommend and we'll see how they handle this almost $200 snafu. I hope to happily update my review after a positive experience so it's also a test of their warranty and customer service.
